Sparky pulled up to the trail, bike skidding to a halt. "Hi! I'm here!" they grinned and waved.
Sparky pulled up to the trail, bike skidding to a halt. "Hi! I'm here!" they grinned and waved.
"I can see that!" Mj replied, laughing at her own stupid humor. "Have I told you I like your bike yet? Because I do.'
"You have I think. But maybe not, I don't have a g-good memory for events." Sparky shrugged. "Sparky, this is a bad idea. Go. Now." Anxiety growled.
Mj tilted her head, smiling. "Me neither. I'm glad you're here. D'you go hiking a lot?" She asked curiously.
"No, my brother doesn't like it when I'm out for too long and it's ki-kinda an all day thing." they said, trying to keep their voice under control.
"Oh, that sucks," she said sympathetically. "Do you want me to beat him up for you?" She asked, only half joking.
"N-no!!" they squeaked, shocked that MJ would suggest that. "Wh-why would you want th-that!? That'th horrib-ble!" they said, beginning to hyperventilate.
Shitshitshit. Mj covered her face, groaning. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean that, it was - " she sighed in embarrassment. " - It was a - a joke? Sorry, I have a terrible sense of humor." Anxiety, who had been trying to get Mj to shut up the entire time, had given up all forms of speech and was just beating up Mj, who was doing nothing to stop her, on the head with her fists.
"I-i'm thorry, I-i-i-i jutht… I'm f-fine. Fine. I'm fine." Sparky said, trying to get their voice and breathing under control, trying to stop Anxiety screaming.
"That's - that's fine," Mj said, grimacing as she batted Anxiety's hands away. Anxiety started muttering curse words, turning red in the face and stopping for a moment before coming back to try to tackle Mj to the ground. "Anxiety. Please, stop," she said, desperately covering her face.
"Don't attack MJ, MJ's Anxiety. Please?" Sparky asked, batting their eyes.
Anxiety froze, then turned on Sparky angrily before sighing and putting her hands in her pockets. "Whatever. It's not like you care that you're a horrible person, anyway," she said, waving her hand at Mj, who crossed her arms and looked at the ground, holding back tears. She looked up at the sky for a moment, blinking rapidly, then turned to Sparky and smiled weakly. "Should we - should we start hiking, or…?"
"Yeah, let's go." Sparky agreed, putting an arm around MJ. The trail was beautiful, light filtering through leaves and onto the ground, birds chirping, and the pathway comfortingly run through with life.
Mj almost immediately cheered up. Nature was sort of her thing. She was always going hiking or birdwatching or riding her bicycle through the woods. It had a strange, calming effect on her.
"So, um… about the… anthropomorphic personifications of out personalities…. uh, Aspects, if you will. I've done research. I thought it was just me, but apparently other people have this happen too. I-it's normally just chalked up to schizophrenia or something, but s-since we can th-see each other's own Aspects…. I'm starting to think it's not quite mental illness." Sparky broke the silence with a jarring suddenness. "They can manipulate objects and summon items into the real world to an extent, I've n-no-noticed."
Mj looked over in confusion, then looked up thoughtfully. "So… I'm not crazy?" She asked. "Cause, I've kind of just been assuming that my entire life has been one massive hallucination."
"Not to my knowledge. I'm pretty sure it's something el-else." they stammered out, unsure if they were even right, but just wanted to share this with someone who * understood*.

"Oh," said Mj, dumbstruck. "Ok, so… huh. That's… wow, that's kind of a major development. Sorry, I, um," she gestured with her hands for a moment, trying to form some kind of words, "I'm kind of having trouble processing this?"
"Me too." there was a silence hanging between them for a few moments. The air was clear and cool, but for Sparky, their mind was clouded and to the boiling point with confusion.
Mj nodded, looking at the ground. Then she started, looking up. "Sorry, I feel like - should I be talking? Normal people talk about stuff, right? So, how was your day?"
"Its been alright. I'm glad I get to spend it with you though, it's nice to go out and be with a friend." they smiled. "Yeeessss!!! You're acting social!! This is a milestone that we should celebrate!!!" Creativity said, elated.
Mj giggled, and Creativity popped out from behind her. "Do we need cupcakes? Is this more of a cake situation? How big of a cake are we talking? 6 layers, or maybe just 5?"
"I vote seven!!" Creativity jumped, flapping their hands with excitement. "I vote against this. We can't manage anything like that, and it's impractical. Just let Sparky have this day out, it's enough of an event as it is." Logic rose up.
(Yayyyy time for the voice of reason amongst dumbassess!! Here's Logic's aesthetic btw: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/857583954024990826/ )
Creativity practically swelled with indignation. "Excuse me, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard," she said, conjuring an 8-layer cake in her hand and immediately starting to eat it. "Humans can't eat it, but no smarty-pants is going to tell me that I can't have cake. I. LIKE. CAKE."
"We're not having a party." Logic said firmly. "Does this MJ even have a Logic herself? Tell me she does or you're grounded from seeing her." Sparky rolled their eyes. "Logic, I'm assuming she does. Chill. You don't have to ground me. And besides, who's to stop the Creative Twins from gorging on cake?"
