“No, it’s nothing.@
"Uh… Okay, well, I'm Blair! We probably already met, but I don't remember it so… Hi!"
“Lydia….” Lydia was slightly bewildered, but answered anyway.
"Awesome! That's such a nice name and I assume your name is Trent, Lydia did say so… I think!"
“Thanks.” Lydia replied. The sudden change in attitude was insane.
"So… Uh, how long have you guys been here? What weapons do you use? Do you guys like sweets? Am I asking too many questions?" Blair asked, being extremely energetic as Spearmint tries to figure out how to integrate Blair into this without looking like an ass.
“Um… 4 years, a sword, yes, and no.” Lydia replied. Lydia looked over at Trent, imploring him to answer nicely.
Trent allowed Lydia to tug him backwards, still seething angrily. He kept himself in between the two, with a mistrustful glare at Blair.
“Trent.” Lydia said, shooting him a look.
Trent let out one last grumble under his breath before reigning himself in. “Fine.” He tentatively extended his hand for Blair to shake, still silently gritting his teeth. “My name is Trenton Horne.”
(I have to drive somewhere so I gtg for like a half an hour!)
Blair smiled and shook the hand, letting go almost as soon as he took it. He knew the guy- Trenton, didn't like him, but for what reason? He didn't know.
“Thank you.” Lydia said quietly. “So, what’ve you been up to since this morning?”
"I'm not sure! As I said, I tend to forget things." Blair said, shrugging.
“Right…. Anyway, we ran into two of your friends earlier.”
"Angel and Bren or Lucy? Did I go see Lucy today?" He muttered the last part to himself.
“Angel and Bren. And if Lucy’s the girl in the infirmary, then yeah, you visited her.”
Trenton watched them interact carefully, half expecting Blair to pull his gun on them. He silently scanned the other boy over for any signs of bruising or head trauma, which was his only clue about what caused this.
"Ah, thank you. I probably forgot to write it down! I'm so sorry for bothering you with this."
“How long have you had the memory loss?” Trenton asked quietly, still analyzing Blair.
“Don’t be.” Lydia said, stepping slightly closer, so that her and Trent were level.
"Oh, hm… For a while, a couple of years. It kinda flickers." Blair said, waving his hands.
“Jeez.” Lydia said quietly.
Trent chewed his lower lip, coming to a silent conclusion. “You may stay with us for now if you’d like. Assuming that you are free at the moment.”
"I'm usually free!" Blair said cheerfully, sitting down becuase Spearmint still has no clue where they are.
(They’re in the kitchen I believe.)
Lydia smiled. She liked him now.
