@Hawkeye
“Starving.” Lydia realized just how hungry she really was.
“Starving.” Lydia realized just how hungry she really was.
“I am as well.” Trenton stood up and stretched. “Shall we go then?”
“Yep.” Lydia replied, standing up as well.
Trenton looked at Lydia, waiting expectantly for her to unlock the door.
“Right, sorry.” Lydia unlocked the door, and stepped out into the sunlight, heading towards the kitchen.
Bren poured all the ingredients into a huge bowl, mixing it up as Angel looked on. "How do you know all the recipes?" Angel asked. Bren looked at him with a completely stoic face and uttered one word. "Magic." A few seconds of silence passed before they both burst out laughing.
Trenton trailed after her, mostly recovered from the morning’s insane events. “I do hope they’re open. They should be if I remember correctly.”
“I don’t know why they wouldn’t be,” Lydia said, coming up on the kitchens.
"Can you mix it while I set the oven and prepare the trays?" Bren asked Angel, Angel in turn nodding like and energetic puppy, he really wanted to help Bren.
She pulled open the door and stepped inside.
"Hello!" Bren said and waved at the girl and the boy trailing behind her. "What brings you to the kitchen?"
“I’m hungry.” Lydia said shortly.
Angel sat on the counter, kicking his feet in the air. "What a mood, Brennie over there won't let me have any of the batter."
Lydia wasn’t totally sure how to respond to that.
Trenton stood behind Lydia, lurking closer to the door. He dipped his head in greeting, but remained otherwise silent.
(Sorry! I’m back!)
Lydia moved closer to the pair already in the kitchen, wondering what they we’re making.
(Glad to see you back!)
Trenton debated following at the door and eventually crept forward a few steps. “I don’t believe I’ve seen either of you around before.” He deadpanned, raking his hands through his hair.
Lydia nodded in agreement at the statement.
Trent quickly scanned the two boys, but he didn’t see any weapons or sign of a threat. How allowed his shoulders to relax a little while he waited patiently for a response.
"Hello, I'm Bren." Bren introduced himself as he continued to mix the batter. "And I'm Angel!" The other man said, giving a small smile. "We tend to drop by, we were campers a few years ago so we occasionally come to help with whatever happens or if anyone needs help," Bren said, Angel saying this right after. "Or to see Blair!" Bren rolled his eyes and cracked a smile. "Or to see Blair."
Lydia's eyebrows flew up so far that they almost disappeared in her hairline.
Trent immediately tensed up, but forced his expression to be blank. “Trenton Horne, it’s a pleasure.” He replied gruffly, holding out his hand for either one of the boys to shake.
Angel looked at the girl, confusion, and concern on his face. "Are you…" He trailed off, trying to think of a word. "Okay?" While Angel wa doing this, Bren took Trentons hand and shook it.
Lydia realized she has just been standing there silently, and put her hand out as well. "Lydia Hoffman, Daughter of Nemesis."
"Oh, we forgot to introduce our godly parents. Very sorry about that. I'm a son of Nyx." Bren said, his mom having children was pretty rare, especially since Zeus didn't like Nyx being more powerful than him. "And I'm a son of Hebe!" Angel said, shaking the girls hand.
