so as some of you may or may not know, i have been hyperfixtated on the goldfinch for the past couple months, and this information has just been sitting around in my melted brain for a while, so im sharing it with yall since im pretty sure my friends will murder me if i even vaugly referance this francise anymore (also i put this in general chat cause its a book, a movie, and music all in one and my ass did NOT know where this should go🧍)

Boris is the one who introduces Theo into a life of drug and addiction (not including when Xandra gave theo that pill on the plane). He's also been known to buy and sell drugs from Kotku and then, again, he does become a promient figure in the criminal underworld.

He feels like its waiting to be found (which is why it's linked to the 'X'), and his anxiety about it being discovered is very notable, like how he gains an obsession to clean his room all the time so hobie has no reason to be in there, or how nervous he got when the firefighters came due to the small fire that started in the workshop.
