Mari smiled. "Nice to meet you!" (Sounds like Nice ta meechya, cause southern) "I'm Mariyea."

Something twitched under their hoodie, and they quickly stood up. "I'll be right back, I need to take care of something." They said in a hurry before quickly walking out.

Kaito nodded in response as he continued to smile brightly. He seemed to be in a very good mood, and he already seemed to like being around Xena and Mari within moments of meeting them. If he was anything, he was certainly friendly and loyal.

"Kaito Momota! Nice to meet you, too!" he responded. "I'm sure we'll be great friends!"

He then nodded in response to Xena's comment. He seemed to be in a good mood, not questioning what his friend was up to.

"Oh.. I pronounced my own name wrong! how embarrassing! It's Marieya.."

An hour passed, and Xena hadn't returned.

"hm.." The teacher still hadn't made an appearance, so he wouldn't get in trouble, but mari was still worried for Xena

A large shape passed by the window, big enough that it couldn't be human, but also small enough that it wasn't matured yet.

"What the scud was that?" mari whispered to herself. "hey, Kaito, could you let the teacher know i'm in the bathroom if they come in when im gone?" She asked, quickly leaving the classroom and heading outside.

Bits of Xena's hoodie lay shredded in the hallway, all the way to the entrance of the school, where the hood and sleeves lay torn.

Mari ran after him, following the bits of fabric, then just running iin the way the grass was indented. (Got to go for a bit.)

Along the way, their footprints became more distorted and less human, eventually becoming paw like.

(oh, sorry…) Mari noticed the footprint change, and she pulled out the can of chloraphyll or chloraform, or whatever the sleepy drug is called, and prepped it on a rag that she kept in her pocket.

The trail led away from the school, into a surrounding forest.

(Omg I'm so sorry I was in school and I'm only seeing this now-)

(ur good) Marieya ran over, deeper into the forest.

Soft growls could be heard nearby, definitely not a forest animal.

Mari went towards them, holding the rag, but not using it yet.

They were wearing the tattered remains of Xena's hoodie, two big wings poking out where the sleeves would be. If you looked close enough, you could see a missing left eye.

"Hm-.." >Doesn't feel good but doesn't show it either< " I Wonder what that noise is ;-;"

Mari called out to Xena? "Hey, are you alright?"

Startled, the creature turned with wide eyes and slowly started to back away in fear.
