"Do you think he's ok?" Yuuka asked a little worried.
"Do you think he's ok?" Yuuka asked a little worried.
Inima gave him a little kick. He seemed to respond, "I'm sure he's fine. Right?"
"It might be a good Idea not to kick sleeping people whom we have no idea what they are capable of." She suggested, "You know just a safety tip, everyone here is potential hero quality."
Tasper finished changing and headed out into the hallway. He noticed two girls conversing over what appeared to be a dead body? Or, wait, maybe the boy was just sleeping. Eh, it wasn't his problem. He decided to approach the girls. Better to scout out the competition ahead of time. He wanted to make sure he had at least a chance at being number one in the class. "What are your quirks?" he asked bluntly as he walked up to them.
Inima nodded, "Oh right. Forgot that."
She turned to the new boy, "And why should I tell you?"
"I'm just wondering," he mumbled, hands in his pockets. "I can teleport. My mom calls it chasing." He figured maybe they'd warm up to him more if he told his quirk.
"So you can run?" Inima raised an eyebrow.
"It's not running. I mean, not really?" He glanced away. "C'mon I told you my quirk. Tell me yours."
"Death and destruction," Yuuka said brushing off the rude question with a useless answer. "At lest thats what my mom called it."
"Not to be mean, but that sounds like a villain quirk," Tasper pointed out, frowning.
Inima pointed to the ground. Silver came from the ground. It was a metal, be misleading but not untruthful.
"That's what my father used to say," She smiled brightly, "before he tried to kill me… on many occasions." Her red eyes looking him over.
"Metal manipulation," Tasper observed before turning back to the other girl. "Oh okay. That sounds like a villain origin story, too. I research villains obsessively, so…yeah."
Inima frowned and asked, "What makes a villain quirk anyway? Can't any quirk be a villainous quirk?"
"Heroes don't normally use 'death and destruction' to save people," Tasper pointed out, crossing his arms. "Heroes don't kill anyone. Quirks that are designed to kill or manipulate people are villainous."
"But that isn't always true," Inima responded, "Someone with a manipulative quirk could use it for good. It really depends on the person not the quirk. Any quirk could also be used for good. It's society's perception that makes someone a villain or a hero. Not their quirk or origin."
"Well, I'm outlier data then," she crossed her arms, "Even with a quirk like mine, that is villainize in nature I still chose to be a hero."
Tasper shrugged. "I guess. I still think quirks that are designed for saving people are more heroic than quirks that are designed for hurting people. Common sense, right?"
Inima shook her head, "Whatever."
She had to remember that they didn't have a foot in both worlds. This was definitely going to be harder for her since she used to live a different lifestyle. One where betrayal was always the easiest option. She didn't know how to be 'nice'.
"What's your name, anyway?" he asked, looking at both girls. "I'm Tasper. American transfer student."
"I'm Yuuka, and I can heal people," She smiled.
Inima sighed as she responded, "Inima. Silver."
"Yuuka the healer who also deals death and destruction," Tasper said, "And Inima Silver with the most obvious last name ever. Nice to meet you both." He grinned.
Inima rolled her eyes. Sure let him think silver was her last name not her quirk. She spotted Aizawa out of the corner of her gesture for her to come to him. He had something in his hand, then she remembered apart of the contract. Since he was asleep earlier he must have forgotten about, but during the school year she was required to wear a collar that allowed the government information on her location, heartrate, and quirk usage. Anything seem out of place they could administer a shock to her. She groaned and walked over snatching the collar from him before putting it on. It was really uncomfortable as she walked back to the group.
"Well I can honestly say this meeting has been memorable." Yuuka responded.
