Kaito smiled as he brought Kiibo inside the restaurant. Once they sat down, he continued to smile at the other. He seemed to be so full of joy to be able to go on a date with someone. He never told Kiibo, but he was never actually able to see Kokichi the entire time that they were together. Just being able to see someone and go on a date with them was a huge improvement from his previous relationship.
As they sat there and talked, Kaito had a bright grin on his face. He went on and on about random stories or facts he knew about space. His eyes were always lit up with excitement as he did so. He knew that Kiibo was listening to what he had to say, and that made him happy. He had forgotten what it felt like to share random facts with someone who cared about him and what he had to say. It had been so long since he had done so, as it seemed that Kokichi rarely cared about his interests.
Kaito finally stopped as their food arrived. "Sorry if I was just going on and on," he apologized before chuckling nervously. "I hope it didn't bother you…"
“ no no it doesn't,” he said softly and sighed happily “ I love hearing you talk about something you are so passionate about. It's amazing, “ he said and took his food
"I'm glad that it doesn't bother you. I'm glad that you don't find it annoying or something, either…" Kaito sighed softly. "Kokichi would get annoyed after a while, so it's been so long since I've been able to do it, and then when I did, I assumed that I was bothering you…"
“ no, I promise it's not, please, keep talking.”
Kaito smiled. "That's good to know! Now I can tell you more about my interests as we eat!"
“ okay!” kiibo sad happily
Kaito smiled as he went back to telling Kiibo about things that he enjoyed. He'd stop and eat his food from time to time, but when he wasn't eating, he was happily explaining his interests to his lover.
Kiibo listened with a captive interest, taking mental notes as well
Kaito seemed to enjoy Kiibo's interest in everything that he was talking about. It made him happy to discuss stuff that he loved and have the person that he loved enjoy every second of it.
After they are kiibo walked kaito out, his hand in the others as he let the other talk on
Kaito smiled as they left the restaurant. He seemed to enjoy talking about all of his interests with Kiibo.
“ I love you,” he said softly
"I love you too," Kaito replied softly. "Really, I love you so much."
"No, I love you more, Kiibo," Kaito smiled.
"Nope, I love you more~!" Kaito grinned as he booped Kiibo's nose.
"How do I prove that I love you more? I will~" Kaito replied. "Then you'll see that I love you more~!"
“ I'm not sure, think of something.” kiibo teased
"And once you think of something, I'll do that thing to prove that I love you more~!"
“ kiss me!” he said happily
Kaito nodded and kissed Kiibo softly. "That prove it? If not, I'll kiss you again~"
“ I think I still don't understand kaito..”
"I told you that I'd kiss you again if that didn't prove it~" Kaito smirked before kissing Kiibo again. "How about now~?"
