Sun-mi simply shot a glare at the two adults. So they were the owners of the kitten that she had found? So they were the ones who clearly abused and endangered him, possibly hoping that he'd die? A feeling of anger and a desire to protect the kitten ran through her. Even so, when she spoke, she didn't raise her voice. She used a different tone, but she never raised her voice, knowing that doing that could very well scare the kitten.
"So, you're the ones who hurt this kitten?" she said, her glare only growing stronger. "You have abused, mistreated, and even endangered this poor kitten. I could very well get authorities involved for animal abuse I suggest that you go. This kitten is no longer yours. You are not worthy of the joy that comes with a kitten, especially when how you get joy from one is so demented."
They were speechless, the glared at her with disgust, and at the kitten before tching.
"we did nothing that cat didn't do to itself." Before they turned and left leaving a shaking Quin.
He was shaking with fear in Mins arms, clearly terrified from the encounter. The collar was a bit too tight on the kitten, please take it off.
Sun-mi noticed that the collar was too tight on the poor kitten and removed it, freeing him of a reminder of his past life with those horrible and abusive owners. Then she started to gently stroke the kitten's fur and went back to talking to him in the soft and soothing voice that she had used earlier. Then she walked back into her house, seeing as she hadn't gotten too far, and got something for the kitten so he could eat. She also looked him over for injuries, wanting to make sure that he wasn't incredibly hurt.
He wasn't incredibly hurt, just the fresh brand on the side of his face was all that really happened to him in terms of abuse.
Sun-mi was relieved to figure that out and just let him eat. She wasn't sure how she would work this out with school, though. She couldn't just take him, but she couldn't leave him alone either. Her family wasn't an option because her parents were on vacation and she knew that something could cause her brother to have to leave. She also couldn't skip school, so that left her wondering about how to work this out, ideas going through her head as she watched the kitten eat.
After the kitten was finished eating, well the kitten turned into a 4'3ft smól kitten boy. He looked at her with wide eyes, trying to search hers before looking away.
"T-thank you m-miss.."
Sun-mi looked at the young boy and walked over to him.
"There's no need to thank me. I couldn't let them hurt you. Also, seeing as your quirk has some relation to mine and you're not just a kitten, what's your name? I'd like to know," she said, still speaking softly. "I'm Sun-mi, and while I'm only a teenage girl, I plan on protecting you, and my family can help too. You're going to be cared for here."
(@MusicElle-is-sorta-back-yay Question!! Is Seichii washing up in a public bathroom at UA or in his dorm room's? That way I can tailor Niko's appearance to the scene a lil better :D)
(a public bathroom! he's all ready for the day just needed to do some last minute things)
Niko ducked into the boys' bathroom at UA, raking his hands through his currently-orange hair to get it more "stylishly messy" than "bird's nest special." At this point, he'd probably be late to homeroom again - he might even doze off again in the hallway - but being chronically late was just a quirk drawback at this point. He dropped his bag on the ground beside the sink and threw up a lazy peace sign at the other student in the room.
"Ciao. I'd say good morning, but I'm still half-asleep and I'm not at 100% just yet. So! Terrible morning!" He smiled brilliantly and, turning the faucet on, dunked his face under the cold water.
Coby entered the boy's bathroom, upon seeing the other two students he froze for a moment. The socially awkward side of him going into high gear "Uh. Hi" he said slowly before speed-walking to a sink and producing a comb, attempting to bring those last few areas of rebellion in his hair into submission.
"Two other people, huh. Interesting. Bathrooms are usually close to empty at this point". He finished fixing his hair and stowed the comb in one of his back pockets. Pausing to check if it was actually made and not just pretending to be.
"You say that, but I think that doesn't apply to bad hair days, my guy." Niko sighed a little dramatically, cinching his hair into a ponytail and toweling off his face with his jacket sleeve. Squinting at Coby's head, he hummed. "You missed a spot. Cowlick on the back. Other than that it's all in order - you're welcome."
Slinging his bag onto his shoulder again, he rolled out the tension in his neck and offered a slight wave. "I'd say see you in homeroom, but I don't know where y'all are headed. Besides, I'm probably going to go catch a nap under some stairwell first. Don't do drugs, drink your milk, you know the drill."
With a light pulse of blue light, he was out of the bathroom and in an alcove by the time seconds had passed.
Seiichi waved an awkward goodbye, inspecting his reflection one last time, still scowling a bit but shrugging it off. "That inspirational speech almost makes me want to do drugs," he said sarcastically, knowing that the other boy probably wouldn't laugh. Seiichi had an interesting sense of humor that didn't always align with that of his classmates. He messed with his hair one last time before giving up with a shrug. "Oh well, guess my hair is just going to look like this. At least it hides my forehead."
Coby subdued the cowlick "Did you say something? I feel like you did but I must have missed it" He turned "Aplogies for not properly introducing myself, I am Coby Damascus, transfer student from the United States of America, and I am completely and totally lost both physically and culturally". He began to offer his hand to shake but stopped halfway through the motion and performed a semi correct bow "Sorry, I forget stuff a lot".
Seiichi looked at him a moment before smiling, appreciating the attempt. "I was just joking around," he responded. "Nice to meet you. I'm Seiichi Chinen. I guess I could try to help you with those things, but my people skills aren't the best." He bowed back, his bow more practiced and languid, like he had all the time in the world. He stuffed his hands into his pockets as he studied the other boy.
"Likewise" Coby said, the pair stood in silence for a bit before Coby glanced at his watch "Shit!" he exclaimed in English before composing himself "Sorry, I have to go now otherwise I'll be late, I suppose I'll be seeing you. I don't know, bye!" he retrieved his bag and exited the bathroom half dementedly looking around in an attempt to gain his bearings before finally understanding where he was and setting off in the direction of his Homeroom.
Seiichi gave the other boy a small smile as he left, wondering if they were going to the same place anyway, but by the time he was going to ask, Coby was gone. Oh well. Hopefully Coby would get to class on time. He checked his watch, realizing he should get going as well. He stopped by his room to grab a quick snack to throw in his backpack and headed to his homeroom.
You're going to be cared for here."
he shook his head. "I d-do need to thank you….y-you saved me..t-then f-fed me…" he looked down figdeting with his hands and staring at them, scratching at his wrists.
"Im q-quin.." he muttered still looking down, "I like y-your name."
"Aww, I'm glad that you like my name. I like yours too," Sun-mi said, smiling softly. "Also, you needed out of that situation, and I'm here to protect you. Add in that my older brother is a recent graduate of UA and already becoming a pretty good pro hero and you're truly safe here. We're going to protect you and care for you. If you want food, feel free to get some or ask for some. If you want to do something, just ask. If you need something, we'll get it. This is your home now, in a place with people who care, who will always care."

"T-thank you!" He hugs onto su min his eyes watering, "Y-your so n-nice to me taking me in… protecting me…" He sniffled.
Sun-mi gently hugs him back, still smiling softly. "Of course. No one deserves to go through what you've been through. While it won't be official until after my parents get back from their vacation, welcome to your new home. You're always going to be safe, loved, and cared for here."
"O-okay!" he smiled a little bit hugging her back tightly as he could.
Sun-mi just let him hug her for a bit before she realized that she needs to get to school. "Shoot, I need to get to school. Do you happen to go to school somewhere? I can't just leave you here…"
What felt like both an eternity too long and only a couple short minutes passed before Niko sauntered lazily into his homeroom, finishing off a protein bar. As far as it went, stairwells ranked somewhere above desktops for sleeping, and he was feeling much more alert and coolheaded.
"Good morning, sensei, I'm late because I decided you'd prefer me to be awake and participating instead of knocked out in my chair. This isn't a bribe," he added, pulling another bar from his pack and sliding it onto the teacher's desk on his way to an empty seat in the front of the room. In his defense, though, any teacher of his would already know that this was the way he rolled, and he would of course make up for it with stellar test scores and sparkling wit.
As he settled in his seat, he leaned back and inspected all the other students, some of whom were still eyeing him with raised eyebrows. Niko paused.
"Hey, didn't I see you in the bathroom earlier? Your hair's looking much better than it did, not gonna lie."
