"That's incredibly human-normative!" the Doctor scolded, but he sounded more playful than upset.

@Simon-Says

"Okay, I know you have this whole magic-box-time-and-space-travelling-oh-yay-other-species-thing, but humans ARE the norm on Earth, and seeing as I've literally never been anywhere else, I think my being human-normative makes sense," Olivia, said, crossing her arms defiantly.

"Well, you're one tiny planet. In one tiny galaxy. In one gigantic universe. So excuse him for feeling you're something about narrow-minded." Seni rolled her eyes.

@Simon-Says

"Please, don't tell me what to do," she said with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. "I have a right to my admittedly little knowledge, and would appreciate for you to respect that."

Deleted user

"Whatever, not as if I care much about your ignorance. Go ahead and get beat up by a member of the Bane for misunderstanding a simple greeting ritual." Seni examined her nails, sarcasm dripping like venom. "Now now, Seni, no need to be… uh, salty. People still say salty, right? Anyways, you should be nice, we're going to land soon."

@Simon-Says

Olivia hid her face. "I'm going to die. This was a bad idea. I should leave. Am I going to get sucked into the vacuum of space if I open that door?" She asked, pointing to the doors of the Tardis. Then she shook her head as if to clear it. "You know what, I don't even care, I'll just go either way," she decided, walking over to the door.

"Noooo!! No, Olivia, Olivia, Olivia! Don't do that! You really shouldn't look into the vortex, open those doors and well, you may well go mad. Humans aren't time-sensitive like my species, and even then…" the Doctor ran and pulled Olivia back gently. "It'd be funny to watch though, admit it." Seni gave the most shit-eating from you'd ever seen.

@Simon-Says

Olivia groaned, leaning backwards to fall on the floor. "I regret literally every decision I've ever made. Including this one. My head hurts."

"We've landed, Doctor. Breathable atmosphere, but it's got slightly higher levels of radiation than usual. We probably shouldn't be around outside for more than a few hours. It's a wasteland, but there's signs of a colony not far off, approximately six-point-four kilometers away, or four miles in United States customary units." Seni said. The Doctor opened the doors, and it really was a wasteland, barren, with whistling winds and no signs of life anywhere at all. The sky was blackened, and metal debris was scattered on the horizon.

@Simon-Says

"Oh, that's fun. Well, I think I've seen everything, time to go home now," Olivia said, freezing in her tracks and laughing nervously and loudly for far too long before abruptly cutting herself off. Why did I do this? Why did I insist on doing this? Am I stupid? Well, obviously I'm stupid, but I never thought I was this stupid.

"Wimp. I'm going out." Seni strode through the doors. The Doctor shrugged, walking out and looking around.

@Simon-Says

Olivia let out a tell if rage, quickly stifling it by biting into her fist. "Please," she growled, "do not call me a wimp. You've clearly been doing this for ages, and I literally got on this ship 20 minutes ago. It's wonderful that you're confident in yourself, but your confidence doesn't have to degrade mine."

"Hypocrite say what?" Seni mocked, but it was the Doctor who responded first with a confused "What?" (Foreshadoooooowwwwiiiiiinnnnnngggggg!)

Seni rolled her eyes and kicked at a piece of debris. "It's metal." she said sourly, putting pressure on her now stubbed toe to help alleviate the pain.

@Simon-Says

"Fascinating," Olivia replied sarcastically with her arms crossed. It 's a good thing that I'm going home after this. She's like an internet troll but I can't block her, she thought, rolling her eyes.

"This was a thriving civilization once, I'd bet." the Doctor said quietly. "I wonder what could have happened?"

@Simon-Says

(Fam I love your new hair, just felt like you should know :)
"Well," Olivia began, as though the answer was obvious, " shouldn't we go and find out? There might be people who might know something. "

Deleted user

(Aww, thank you!)

"Of course. I was just about to suggest that!" he said chillingly, looking off into the distance. "There's people not far off, you can see the outlines of a town. It's all flat terrain from here and even human vision would be able to spot it. Let's go."

@Simon-Says

Olivia threw up her hands in disbelief. "Is the entire purpose of this trip to make me feel stupid? Gods, I get it. You're special and I'm half-blind and exceedingly stupid. This is a recurring message that I've understood by now."

Deleted user

"Oh, Olivia, Olivia, Olivia, I'm sorry! I never meant to make you feel horrible in any way!" the Doctor said, running a hand through his already floppy hair. "I can't say the same for Seni, but if you ever feel uncomfortable, tell me! I don't want to overshadow you!" he said, taking her hand

@Simon-Says

Olivia tensed for a moment, then relaxed, reluctantly calming herself. "It - it's fine. Sorry. I'm being dramatic. I just - I don't like… feeling… like that," she managed, choking her words out with great effort.

"Quit with the sentimentality. Something here is wrong, and you're playing the fools." Seni glared. A cloud of dust and fog settled over the charcoal horizon, the air chilly and prickling, setting off goosebumps against your skin. Something faint, a scream turned a whisper on the wind, tickled their ears. "Something is definitely wrong." the Doctor agreed.

@Simon-Says

Olivia's hands shook slightly, but her curiosity got the better of her, and she nodded. She opened her mouth to say something, but closed it again, deciding it was better if she didn't act stupid again. Seni would just tell her that she had noticed whatever Olivia noticed ages ago.

"We're going to that town." the Doctor decided.

They crossed the flat, barren landscape, the clouds of darkened dust and fog surrounding them, it was basically smog. Seni coughed and choked a little, but swore she was fine, the Doctor seemed perfectly fine regardless, seemingly not bothered by the horrid burnt air corrupting their lungs. "Carry on now, it isn't far and we can rest soon." the Doctor reassured as they neared the ghostly town in the ever nearing distance.

@Simon-Says

Olivia burst into a coughing fit, having held her breath for as long as she physically could. She tried to stifle it with her shirt, which helped a little to bring the noise down, but ultimately she just had to hold her breath again, hoping she could beat her past record of 2 minutes.
