Kat stepped out of her room, immediately recognizing her sister's voice. She looked over the balcony, her gaze landing on a girl carrying a large box. Val seemed to have it handled, so Kat opted to make her way into the kitchen instead of joining the conversation. Maybe she could snag some leftover arepas.
(Forgot to mention that Kat loves Bruno's rat novellas)
Luna waved back and hesitated as she debated helping the girl. She bit her lip and debated helping and eventually she moved slightly towards the girl. Then her prima came to the scene and Luna figured she had it covered. But she should stand by, just in case.
"Oh um thanks I'm fine. Just here to deliver this to La Casa Madrigal." She said calmly. oh my god I am SPEAKING to VALENTINA MADRIGAL AAAAAHHHHHHH she thought throughout the whole interaction.
"Ah, well you're in the right place," Val teased. "And please relax. You're killing me." She winked good-naturedly at the girl.

Gift/Room: “Time travel”. What really happens is he transports himself to an alternate universe that is either ahead or behind of the one he is currently in, but that’s a lot harder to explain than just saying “time travel”. / His room is always either very clean or very messy. He arranges things in very particular ways, and even the smallest change in the layout of his room throws him into a panic. He is incredibly observant.
Appearance: 5’6”, black hair falling to his ears, dark brown eyes, hands that are always in bad shape due to him biting his nails.
Clothes: a plain white tunic under a plain black sweater, and three wristwatches on each arm. Don’t ask him why. He won’t answer.
Personality: On the outside, he seems very blunt and distant, but the truth is; he is incredibly paranoid due to his gift. He’s afraid that when he uses it, he’ll end up in a universe where no one remembers him, or where someone he loves doesn’t exist. He’s pretty distant from the rest of the family, as he believes that if he doesn’t get attached, he won’t be as hurt if they disappear. He craves comfort, but is terrified of loving. He probably inherited quite a bit of Bruno’s mental illness, to be honest. He requires constant reassurance that the people around him are real, and are the same people they were the day before.
Likes: the sound of static, his tape recorder, physical affection, soft textures, making things, sewing plush dolls, a stuffed tiger Mirabel gave him as a little kid
Dislikes: loud noises, his gift, feeling alone, the feeling that the people he loves are complete strangers, when food is too hot and it burns his mouth

Eduardo sat on his bed, attempting to calm himself down. One of the pens on his desk was in a different spot, which, in his mind, meant one of two things; A. Someone had been in his room, or B. He has unknowingly switched universes again. He didn’t like the idea of either.

Gift/Room: she can make things she read appear in reality, and take them away. Her room is a huge library with multiple huge bookcases that makes it looks like a maze.
Appearance: she has bright green eyes and short wavy dark brown hair with long side bangs. She also has this bird that follows her around that she calls Zu who can also talk.
Clothes: she wears an eyepatch on her left eye for aesthetic reasons. She also wears a black skirt with purple embroidery on it and a white long sleeved shirt.
Personality: when she’s not hiding in a corner reading, she usually tries to imitate the personality of a character with a superiority complex from her favorite book series. When she’s not in character, she’s actually pretty quiet and can be a bit awkward.
Likes: books, writing, hanging out with people who she’s friendly with, trying to sew stuff on her own, sweet foods
Dislikes: big parties, loud noises, telling and confronting others whenever there is a problem

Luna saw that Val had it handled and made her way back into the house. She could go to the town later, yeah. There was nothing wrong with that, she wouldn't get in trouble. Not at all. Well, definitely not with her mama, but with her bisabuela… Maybe. Hopefully not.
"Aahh no it's fine umm can you take this I have other deliveries to make and shopping to do." She said awkwardly and started walking away. holy shit holy shit holy shit I need to leave right now before I die of amazement how can she be so pretty! she thought to herself.
“Of course,” Val replied. “¡Gracias querida!” she called to the girl’s retreating back before heading to the kitchen. “Abuela Julieta, I have a delivery for you~” she sang. “Hola, Kat,” she greeted her sister.
Cynthia walked back into town to make a few more deliveries.

Kat stepped into the kitchen, opening a cabinet door in search of the arepas. "Let's see… Ah!" Another cabinet opened, revealing her quarry. "Thanks, Casita." She grabbed the food and turned to leave, stopping when she saw the delivery girl heading for the door. She had a quick mental argument with herself, then quickly started toward the girl. "Hey!" She called, before she could change her mind. "Here. You seem like you could use it." She said, only slightly awkward, as she held out an arepa. Why am I doing this? Why don't I just go about my business like a normal person? She mentally questioned herself, then turned her attention back to the girl, who seemed confused. "You gonna take it, or not?"
"Oh umm thanks" she said with a smile she took the arepa and took a bite. "Bye." Cynthia said with a full mouth. oh my god why the hell did Kat Madrigal just offer me a Arepa!? she asked herself in her head.
Val smirked at her sister, leaning in the doorway of the kitchen. "And what exactly was that, hermana?"
Kat turned to her sister. "I thought she could use something to eat, that's all." She responded, though she doubted that Val was convinced. The truth was, she wasn't sure why she did it. She'd never approached a stranger out of nowhere like that before.
"If it were that simple then why are you so confused?" Val asked. She swore people forgot her abilities sometimes.
"Okay, so I don't know why I actually walked up to her," Kat admitted. "But I wasn't lying. She did look like she could use it." She turned to head up the stairs. "Now, if you'll excuse me, hermana, I'm going to go find Camilo and Tio Bruno."
(For future reference, Kat gets nightmares from using her power, and rarely gets a full night's sleep)
Val eyed her sister, watching her go. With a sigh, she headed back out, dancing across the main floor of Casita, who aided in her movements. Val laughed, a wild yet melodious sound, and twirled so her skirt flared out.
Kat looked back for a moment, watching her sister dance before knocking on Camilo's door. "Camilo? Are you in there?" Silence. "I have the arepas." No answer. She rolled her eyes and opened the door. "Camilo!" She stopped, realizing the room was empty. He's probably in town. She thought to herself. She turned to leave, only to catch her reflection in one of the many mirrors. She sighed, noting the bags under her eyes. Camilo and Bruno would definitely notice that she hadn't been sleeping. They always noticed. She left the room, closing the door behind her.

Luna entered the house quietly and decided to check on primo Eduardo. She had yet to see him today and knew (from a few accidental touches) that his gift made his life difficult. She stepped up to his door and knocked once, "Eduardo? You in there?"
