I wish I had a say in this, but I'm only knowledged by watching half of the first season and Google (and maybe Youtube videos), but I'm fine with playing a companion (no, not Melanie, Sparky. I wanted to try another character of mine, and she's only been used once or twice.)

(Oh don't worry that's just a bunch of Big Finish bullcrap so it isn't really spoilers since a lot of people in the fandom don't consider it a good use of time, and or not even canon. So thus I technically don't spoil anything! Fun. But it doesn't have a strict canon either way so it's probably a section of the fandom best left alone lol.)
