SAM: [Shakes his head no.]
DEAN: [Decides to turn the TV off.] "Maybe we'll find something out at the park."
LEVI: [Swallows.] "I hope so. So far the only leads we have are the stalker, Margot, and Finn. There's not really a whole lot to work with yet."
HARRIET: [nods] “I’m not having much luck either with this book. Slow start on this case.”
LEVI: [Frowns] "I fear that someone else might have to go missing for us to discover what's going on here."
HARRIET: [shakes her head slightly] “I obviously don't want that to happen… but I know what you mean. It'd be almost easier to catch this in the act. All we have right now is the park and three potential suspects. And it seems too much like basic cop work right now.”
LEVI: "Same here."
SAM: [Finishes his beer.] "I'm starting to think that Jody just wanted some fresh eyes on this."
LEVI: "There's still a slim chance that it is our kind of thing though, so I don't blame her for asking us to help out."
DEAN: "Yeah, better to have us here just in case. Ya know?"
LEVI: [Nods and then gives a mirthless chuckle.] "If you really think about it, what we do isn't all that different from what law enforcement does."
DEAN: [Finishes his second beer.] "The only difference is that the asshats usually have no frickin clue about reality! Always getting in the way and making our jobs harder."
SAM: [Doesn't react to the comment, which indicates that this is fairly common when talking about general law enforcement organizations.]
HARRIET: [nods with a light chuckle] “Yeah… I heard that one before. Matthias is actually the one who taught me how to interview and interrogate people on cases. I don't know if I mentioned that he was a cop… when we first met. Now, his son, Gregory, is his “replacement” on the force. It helps when the two of them cover me with the rest of the department.”
LEVI: "Wellll, there is the whole killing things too; that's a major difference, dad."
DEAN: [Shoots him a look.]
LEVI: [Smirks and puts the dishes in the sink.] "Connections are important to have." [Pulls another bottle of Gold Peak from the fridge and walks out to his car. A moment later his door is heard shutting and the engine roars to life.]
DEAN: [Blinks a few times.] "I take it that he wants to get to the park now."
SAM: [Follows after them.]
HARRIET: [sighs slightly] “Guess I’m riding with you two.” [follows Dean and Sam]
LEVI: [Waiting in his car, listening to I Wanna be Sedated by The Ramones.]
HARRIET: [raises a brow and walks over to Levi’s car] “This ride taken?”
LEVI: [Turns the volume down.] "Don't want to ride with the two knuckleheads?"
HARRIET: [shrugs a little] “Just offering my company. Thought you looked a little lonely.”
LEVI: "Sometimes a little loneliness can be quite nice, but you're welcome to join me." [Nods towards the passenger seat.]
HARRIET: “Thanks.” [smiles and climbs in the car] “Though I have to agree. It is nice to have some time to yourself.”
(Watching "The Monster at the End of this Book".)
LEVI: [Smiles back politely and starts to head towards Terrace Park, followed by Dean and Sam.]
HARRIET: [smiles softly back and relaxes a little as he drives]
LEVI: [Turns the volume back up as Kashmire comes on.]
HARRIET: [chuckles softly] “You get your love of music from your old man?”
LEVI: [Chuckles.] "I can see how you'd think that, but no. My love for music actually comes from my mom."
HARRIET: [nods] “So, something they had in common. That's nice.”
LEVI: "Yeah." [Smiles and then suddenly chuckles about something.]
(I keep getting sidetracked.)
(lol me too for a bit there)
HARRIET: [smiles, about to say something but pauses at his laugh] “What?”
