(Sweet!)
The students watched in a monitoring room of all of the battles. The class had some really powerful quirks and it was clear to see why they got into 1A.
"Ok the last group will be a pair and a group of three, since we have an odd amount of students." Yaoyorozu sensai said and she draw the names out of a box. Mochizuki was nervous. Both her and Jay hadn't been called yet and she really wanted to be on a team with someone she knew.
"So the teams are Mochizuki and Sunmi as the villains agaisnt Jay, Hestia and Kosha as the heros."
Mochizuki's faced dropped. She didn't know who Sunmi was and now she had to be on a team with her. The five students walked into the training grounds, the heros waiting at the base of the building and the villain's heading into it, where the bomb was.
Hestia nodded and looked around for the other people in her group. She looked around and saw whom she assumed to be Jay and Kosha. She walked up to the two of them. "Hello, you must be Jay and Kosha. I am Hestia. I have a plan. But I would like to know your quirks first." Hestia explained
(Internet was down. Sorry, guys! Just give me a sec)
(Sorry for letting this die for a couple of days. I was gonna reply quickly, but then I didn't want to force a reply, and then I decided just to take a couple of days off since my family can bother me or something else happens. Apologies for that, but I think it's safe to say I'm back! (still more on and off due to vacation, but back!))
Sun-mi glanced at Mochizuki before smiling at her. "Hey!" she said. "Before we start, we should introduce ourselves, and then we can discuss our quirks and come up with a plan! With that being said, my name is Sun-mi, and it's nice to meet you!"
From the brief conversation, it was clear that Sun-mi was a very upbeat, energetic type of person. She appeared to be rather friendly as well, just full on energy and determination on top of that.
Jay looked at Hestia before looking away from her. "That will be shown during our battle. As needed as it is for the battle, I don't need you refusing to work with me if you see it…" he sighed. "With that being said, if you wish to explain your quirk, go ahead."
(Also, since I went back to look at character sheets earlier, if I recall correctly, Kosha doesn't actually have a quirk. That would explain her absence, aside from the writer's apparent absence as well. And River, if you are reading this, apologies for sorta forcefully trying to add her if it came off that way. My memory sucks sometimes, so I forgot-)
"Uh, hi." Mochizuki looked down as she was walking the steps. "I'm Mochizuki Hikaru." The young girl's energy was a complete contrast to hers and Mochizuko didn't know how to respond to it.
Sun-mi glanced away for a moment. "Was that…too much?" she asked, then glancing back at Mochizuki. "That aside, I suggest we discuss strategies and stuff. I can make and use just about anything, so if I can figure out your quirk, I can work on a plan."
She had completely toned her energy down to be more calm and logical rather than energetic and impulsive. She didn't like hiding her nature, but she realized that successful communication could only occur if she did so. While she was energetic and seemed impulsive, unless she was angry, she was usually one to think things through. She didn't think she'd have to strategize just to communicate with someone, but she didn't mind, determined to be successful in this training.
Mochizuki noticed that Sunni lowered her energy. Was it because of me? Does she think I’m weird and is now feeling awkward?
“I can fly and my skin can glow very bright, but that’s about all I can do.”
(Was on a boat. I'm back! :) )
"Well, that's fine!" Sun-mi assured her. "You can provide distraction and look out for them. If you stun them with brightness, as long as I have an idea of where they are, I can still attack!" she explained, bringing some of her energy back. "And with how back and forth my energy's been, I'm not sure how much you can handle, and I want to make sure we communicate without issues. Just let me know what you're comfortable with!"
"Oh, ok." Mochizuki felt nervous. She didn't want to tell Sunmi how to act. But she decided to pull the focus towards the task and their quirks, "What's your quirk?"
"And no, I really don't mind it if you're wondering. Sometimes I forget that not everyone can handle super energetic people, so that's the first side I show, but I want to be friends with most people here, so it can change," she explained. "Well, until you get used to my energy. Anyways, with my quirk, I can basically create things out of ice, though I typically make weaponry for use in battle."
"Ok. Would you be able to make traps?" Mochizuki asked, an idea forming in her mind.
Sun-mi nodded. "I think I'd be able to make some traps. What kinda traps are you thinking? I can see that you may have an idea."
Mochizuki was nervous. She hoped that Sunmi thought her plan was good. "I was thinking that instead of you protecting the bomb, I could. I'm pretty strong and if someone gets to it, I can blind them and pick up and the bomb and fly away. And you could go around the building and lay a bunch of traps. That'll make it harder for the heros to get up here."
"True, true. I didn't have full knowledge of your quirk or your strength, so I hadn't considered that in my original strategy," Sun-mi replied. "With the knowledge that I have, I would say that your plan is definitely one of the best that we could come up with. If that's all good, then I'm probably going to start setting up some traps, as the activity is going to start soon."
“Ok. I’ll go to the bomb.” Mochizuki started heading to the top before she paused. “Good luck.” She said. If she was going to make more friends she should probably be inviting so she hoped her good luck wishes came across well.
(Hey, I'll be on later. In a mood from dinner, so I need some time to regain social energy. Hope you guys don't mind)
(Sorry for not replying for a while I was working through a couple things and taking a break from things due to my mental health I am doing much better now.)
Hestia took up Jay's offer and began to explain her quirk, "My quirk is Mist. I can create a light blue mist that can vary in thickness. I can see perfectly through the mist though others cannot. I hope that makes sense."
(That's fine! I've been super on and off due to vacation and being annoyed with my family and just kinda drained from forced socialization, so no worries!)
Sun-mi nodded in response to Mochizuki's plans as she headed towards the door. She turned around and glanced at the other with the good luck message and smiled. "Thanks. We've got this, but still, good luck to you, too!" she told the other before leaving to place traps.
Jay nodded. "That makes sense. You'll have to find a way to distract the villains with the mist while ensuring that I can still attack," he told her. "You can attack through your mist, as the villains won't be able to see you coming, but with two of them, it's best that we can both attack. If they're both in one place, we'll need a plan, but if they're in different places, we should be able to have one of us focus on one and the other focus on another."
(I needed to take a break too aha)
The timer starts now. Yaoyorozu sensei's voice came over the speakers.
Mochizuki took a deep breath. She needed to concentrate. The hero's could come from anywhere, she just hoped Sun-mi's traps would hold them off.
(It's fine! I'm probably gonna take a break for a few hours (unless I forget to come back for like a day), so I'll reply later)
(Okay, I'm back after a short break!)
As the timer started, Sun-mi went through their base and started placing traps. She was fairly familiar with Hestia's quirk from their earlier conversation, though she didn't know what Jay's quirk was like. Even so, she thought of what would be useful to stop the others and placed the traps accordingly.
"C'mon," Hestia said, "We should be going in, I can do my best to keep the mist towards the villians but I can't make any promises."
Jay nodded. "Yeah, we should go in now. I think you've got a good plan already, and don't worry about it," he said. "We just have to try out best."
Hestia followed Jay into the building and saw a long hallway with turns. It seemed like a maze in here. Hestia turned to Jay, "so where do we go from here?" She asked.
"Hmm…" Jay hummed in thought as he analyzed their surroundings. "If we have some form of communication, I'd suggest splitting up, given the maze-like structure of this building."
