As either a DM or a player, what has been your favourite campaign to run through for any edition?
I particularly enjoyed playing through Curse of Strahd (and all the were-shenanigans we got into), but I'm currently running The Sunless Citadel for a few people and having tonnes of fun with that too.
If Matt Mercer's "Tal Dorei"campaign guide counts then definitely a home brew in that world. I'm not too well versed in any of the others as I am pretty new to DND but am loving it so far :)
Both campaigns I'm a part of are home run campaigns, just using 5e for the rules. Both are run by different dms and have a totally different feeling towards them. I personally am enjoying the first campaign I joined far more than the other. That's more that my first one seems to get more stuff done in the three hour long session rather than the second one. To be fair, the first one has been able to meet up FAR more often than the second. I am interested partaking in an official campaign just to see how different it is from home run stuff.
Joining the discussion a bit late, but I absolutely enjoy Eberron. I know it's not completely official in 5e at the moment, but it's not too difficult to adapt. Any high magic campaign is a blast for me.
Rise of the Runelords. Hands down favorite
Honestly, after watching Dice Camera Action play through most of the published campaigns, I'd say they ALL are. However, DM Chris Perkins (known in-game as "The Perkins") tends to carry over plotlines and items from the other ones, so it's hard to say where one stopped and another began. It's even MORE confusing now that The C-Team and the Waffle Crew are now canonically in the same multiverse, so now what? Where does one end? Where does one begin? I CAN'T TAKE IT!
