@Rover3672
Ok so I've done quite a bit of research on my own but I still have a few questions overall so if someone could help answer as many of these as possible that would be hecken noice:
-How do alters get their names?
-Can neglect induce DID?
-What are some day to day things that happen that could cause a switch?
-What are some essential alters to the overall system? (I know there are things such as dead, non-human, animal, or even child alters but I'm not sure if they are as important as the protector alter for example. )
-How long would a switch last for on average?
-Because certain alters have different genders and sexuality is it common for one alter to be in relationships with one person while another alter is in a relationship with another?
-Is there anything that no one really talks about but is super important for me (a person without DID) writing a character with DID especially from a first person perspective.
-How to note make it a huge deal as well as keeping a balance between alters?
and more opinion question but what would this mean in a stressful fantasy setting? I'm sure as hell not going to change DID to be some kind of "maGIcAL THing ThAT CAn bE CuReD" because thats feel just flat out wrong. Idk i'm not good at explaining and i may have more questions but I'd like to know more and how to do this write.
Feel free to explain anything more or link articles, blogs whatever that could be useful!
