if y'all need a disease for your story, here's a good place to look at symptoms and stuff!
it's a wiki for a plague game, where you build your own plague and try to kill the world, so there's a plethora of interesting symptoms and terrible ways to die via sickness
have fun torturing your characters!

scrolling in the comments can also be helpful for the purpose of illness and plague making!
if you scroll a bit of a distance (not too far but it's a few comments in i think) then people start giving tips and talking about the combos !!
the combos are interesting to read and make things worse for the infected so, it's a fun time to read 'em !!
here's two examples of combos:
coughing + vomiting = projectile vomiting (the name says it + increased infectivity)
anemia + insomnia = walking dead (everyone looks grey and dead + slows down cure progress since everyone is tired)
there's obviously a lot more, and in the comments of that page people talk about those + strategies they use to win, which could be a fun way to help figure out how your plague/illness will behave !!!
