It all depends on what kind of leviathan you're going to go for (mythologically speaking.) Most leviathans appear as long sea serpents, but are mostly asleep in the deepest parts of the ocean. Something as casual as this might be an interesting turn from the struggles of having to make a giant monster that is your own, if you like.
