The first is a race of sorts. They have small fangs and small horns, but these are hidden with illusion magic a majority of the time. (So, I know they sound like they look like demons or devils, but I don't want them to be from the hell world. I'd like them to be from Earth.) The only way they can use their illusion magic is if they have enough energy, which comes from feeding. Feeding for them is any form of physical contact with a member of any species/race (at all) who has an adventurous spirit. They don't just suck out the adventurous spirit; they simply need its presence. (Sort of like how a solar panel collects light energy.) This isn't harmful to the adventurer in small amounts. But, in large amounts it could make them tired, nauseous, and even sick. Still not extremely deadly, but there have been cases. Since any creature/race/species can have an adventurous spirit, this race can speak and understand all languages without even trying. (Like they have some sort of internal translator.) The problem with this is that they can not tell when another language is being spoken.
The second race/species is shadowy creatures, originally from a planet called Lepzan. They come in many shapes and forms, and even have vastly different DNA structures while still looking mainly similar. (Which is mainly black, shadowy, hard to decipher forms.) And, they are highly intelligent just like any person of most races/species. And, some of them have powers or magic. (Like how some humans are witches or warlocks.) Actually, none of them reside on Lepzan anymore, because there was a war between the planet's main race, Blinkers, and humans. The creatures as a majority took the side of the humans, and so, when the war was over, they were all banished to Earth. Humans were banned as well but left through a portal, and therefore they remained human. These creatures however were spread out and hard to catch, so they were all banished by hand. By magic. Banishing spells tend to have a weird side effect in this universe. If one is banished from their world to Earth, they become at least half of an Earth species. For any humanoid race, they'd become half human. But, these creatures are not humanoid; they are any form but that. So when banished, they became anything from an enchanted/cursed cactus to a wolf who can still speak its home language without flaw to a sheep which sounds as if it's speaking sheep when really it's not. So, any plant or animal at all really, and they don't massively stand out. So, they are mistaken for normal animals or plants. They also have ridiculously long age cycles. By age cycle, I mean they don't die. They grow old then shrink back to a child. But, it's hard for them to forget anything, so at least they don't have to relearn how to live every time they go through a cycle. (I have no idea what to call them, but I'm thinking something based around the word Morph.)
Please help me. And, I'm so sorry if any of that was confusing.
