Lately I've been reworking my fae for my story since they were a but too close to the "Disney pixie" so I was wondering if there are any cool fae out there from whatever mythology there is out there. My one thing is that I like to stay away from fae like elves, brownies, leprechauns y'know 'common' stuff like that. (I do have changelings and spriggans too btw). Even if they are just stories just copy and paste a link and I'll read it. Thx y'all :)
Vibrates in at the speed of sound.
Sorry, my stories deal with a lot of different Fae, as you can see with my name.
And you can really come up with anything as long as you keep the: No iron, can't lie, and tricksters.
Good to know, I do have all three for one of my species. The only thing that stays consistent for my fae is the no iron thing.
Yup!
That's the great thing about writing fae, they're so fucking vague you can do anything with them as longa as you keep the rules.
Alright then, but is there any fae that you think I could try and look at for inspiration? l like to look at other creatures and take and bend elements of their behavior, looks and abilities. Like changelings kidnapping kids and stuff i was able to bend it into the fae taking infants away to their realm and turning them into fae but only if they see that their parents will not love them. Even if there is a link or a website with some fae that would be awesome.
I, uh… found a site? Idk how helpful it'll be, but it lists some powers of fae- although it kinda describes them as fairies, they aren't really your standard pretty and cute ones.

Hope this helps!
Thank you it did help quite a bit!
In my world faye literally exist on a different level than humans, the faye themselves understand everything but the humans are just kind of like: -_- whut?
