His name is Alexander, and he's a bounty hunter. Or at least he tried. He goes after the protagonist who is wanted for treason. The protagonist, Liliana, defeats him without much difficulty because she's good at her job and he's not. Liliana's friends scared off Alexander's companions. Liliana is trying to be scary and whatnot but she's not super into murder or whatever because that's what ruined her life. So… what do we do with poor Alexander? If we let him go, he could ruin the image of fear and evil Liliana's trying to create.

Could he be taken as her "prisoner" and then learn and become more skilled and a part of the group?

Or taken as a prisoner, then a friend and companion, but he turns out to be a traitor? But like an elaborate treachery, not one that readers would see coming.
