I didn't have inspiration. i wanted to make a waiter/butler fancy guy or something, so i just drew.

Honestly, there are a lot of MCs with special powers, a special charm with them, and they look plain. So twist that around. No powers, no charm, and they look like they haven't slept since 1987. My brain cells gave up.
Melanie started off as a lowkey self-insert, then turned into a super edgy depressed anti-hero, then became a rather pointless side character that didn't really belong in the story at all, then finally ended up as a….lowkey self-insert. ^^; How the turntables, I guess.
Angel started out as just my username. Then I saw cool stuff and got ideas. POOF, my child was born.
Corwyn started out based off of my bf. Then he started to develop his own personality and became way different than I thought he would. Next thing I knew, Angel was adopted and him and her were dating.
My Rori started as a character creation study (drawing), then her personality just kinda grew from there
In visual design mostly revolutionary girl Utena and some science fiction, in personality probably Kip from Kipo and the age of wonderbeasts and Steven Universe, as well as some general Soft Boi aesthetic
So all my mcs had 2 main inspirations: myself and the world I built them from. But other than that….
Dove: how albinos throughout history were regarded as devil-spawn, demons, what have you, and then I made her the complete opposite of that. Well, mostly.
Crow: inspired by a friend of mine in almost every way except for her ethnicity, clothing, and that she(Crow) is rich.
-these two were also made with the theme of duality in mind, so they were kinda made together
Reed: Me realizing I needed variety in my characters. When he was white, I felt like I could never draw him the right way. Then I made him black, and it worked. The rest was mainly experimental, not really inspired by anything. Just those 2 main things I mentioned.
Victoria: I guess I was going for that ‘cool young mom‘ look, but also traumatized. Again, those 2 main things.
I read Keeping the Castle and immediately needed a 17th century character.
Garret-I honestly have no clue what inspired me to come up with him. I think the idea of a romantically obsessive character was just interesting to me and it grew from there
Dani-She started off as a pjo OC and i kind of changed her and improved her from there and now she's an independent character, but she was honestly based quite a bit off of myself. Her background, mental health issues, and personality are a bit like mine (except her personality is more of how i wish i had the confidence to act and not so much how i actually act)
I think aro was inspired by (stay with me) home alone. she came from a quick write that I had to do in school, for practice. we had keywords and they were about planes, so I wrote about this girl who got lost at the airport. then she grew into aro. the name actually came from one of my friends, she had her characters name as arrow (she scrapped it) but I was inspired so that's aro!
Crack
Chemistry
I was really into pirates of the Caribbean when I created Sparrow so I just inverted Jack Sparrow into Sparrow Jacks lmao
She turned out to be an amazing girl and is my favourite or all characters. She's also an assassin
i think kacey was sorta like a self insert at first because she's chubby, black and likes tennis. then i made her into more of her own character nd the rest is history !
nabila just came out of nowhere i think, i stole the name from 'diary of a chav' but i changed the surname from "chaalan" to "chan" then i kinda added her own flair nd stuff
karuko definitely started out as like an 'akarsha from butterfly soup' expy but she turned out to be my favourite oc 😳✋🏾
Depression. Ky was supposed to help me cope by inserting her into stories that make me happy. Then I realized I actually liked writing and created a fantasy world for her based off of my environment.
