Character development is a crucial thing, and it's especially fun to give them little habits! tell me about your characters.

One of my characters, Theo, wants to be a bookbinder. His mom is a papermaker and his dad is a leatherworker. He made a leather journal for his best friend, and he sows signatures (they're little stacks of paper that are combined to create the insides of books) to calm himself before going to bed.
Delta sings and plays a small harp. At the temple she was raised in, singing was a regular part of her religion, and while on her journey, she often sings herself to sleep with a lullaby that her Guardians (her parental figures in the temple) would sing to her when she was little. She also likes reading the comics sections of news-scrolls. In terms of habits, she plays with her shifting (magic) a lot of the time, sometimes subconsciously. She might spin a ball of water and pass it between her palms while talking to somebody, or just generally fidget with any surrounding objects.
Sato collects coins and always keeps one on him
Matthew has this odd thing where every time he passes a graveyard or cemetery, he holds his breath till fully passing it. When he was twelve, he read a book where the main characters would do that so ghosts/spirits wouldn't posse them. Even though Matthew doesn't a hundred percent believe in ghosts, he still does it.
Basil likes to look up at the moon and wave at it or tell it that it looks beautiful. He even writes poems and love letters to it. No one is sure why he has this liking to the moon, but then again Basil is also into astrology and astronomy.
Maeng is obsessed with Adventure Time; he's watched the whole series eight times and will do it again. The show calms him down after an overwhelming day, it's one of his favorite forms of escapism. He even wears the hat that Finn has. And his comfort character is BMO. I wouldn't recommend asking him about it, cause he'll talk it about it for hours and hours on end if possible.

This is so unbelievably cute :0
Luca: He likes to high-five his mirror to boost his confidence in the morning.
Levi: He steals a lot and is one of his hobbies. His favorite thing to steal from are money shrines that are originally for the gods. People will put coins into these boxes while praying to the gods. The gods will take the coin and make their prayer come true, but instead, Levi just lockpicks the shrines and steals the money. (They are kind of like wishing wells)
Pascal: Collects keys from different keyboards. Why? Pfft, no one knows. She just likes keeping them in a little bag and playing scrabble with them occasionally.
Ash: Knitting different types of socks for their friends during winter. They especially love making animal socks to represent their friend's spirit animals.
Amber: One of her habits is to randomly start braiding her hair or others hair. Her friends have gotten used to the fact that she will spontaneously begin to braid their hair, in fact, they love it when she does cause it always comes out looking fabulous.
Nicholas: One of his hobbies are collecting expensive and rare types of wines (usually with the money that Levi got from the money shrines).
