These are the things that make our characters a little more relatable and human. So what do your characters do for fun?

Nyir: She's funny because she pretends she doesn't have hobbies. If anyone, except Tyfer, asks what she does for fun, she'll either ignore them or tell them she uses all her free time for training and exercising. In actuality, she adores nature, especially rain. She's got quite the green thumb and loves to grow plants. When she and her husband lived outside the city, she had a little garden, but now all she has is a few houseplants. She also loves reading, mostly anything she can get her hands on. She's NOT a fan of romance, but most other genres are alright with her. Thrillers are her favorite. She also loves anything that makes her feel free or like she's flying (although she hates actual flights, because she's a control freak who can't stand the idea of being flown around in a gigantic metal contraption unless she's flying it) like swimming, biking, and running. Her absolute favorite hobby is actually discussing deep, political, or philosophical questions with someone she genuinely trusts. Few would guess that she enjoys conversation, but her husband knew her as a great conversationalist, and so does Tyfer. Evera has seen that side of her as well.
Daso: LOVES comic books oh my goodness. He will never shut up about his favorite heroes (Spider-Man is his favorite, duh. (especially miles morales.)) He loves collecting and reading them, especially the older ones. Since he loves comics so much, he's a huge fan of superhero movies, with Spider-Man being one of his favorites yet again. He loves analyzing them/reviewing them, although he isn't really that critical and loves basically anything with fun characters, good morals, and cool action sequences. He's also a huge flirt, and loves to hit on literally anyone close to his age at all, of any gender. He loves practicing his bad pick up lines and puns. He also has a love for the theatrical, so dancing, singing, and acting are big parts of his personality. He loves belting along to musicals, and he's really quite good! His voice is very high and very melodic. He's also a social creature, so being around crowds and hanging out with friends are some of his biggest interests.
These are my two main characters, I may do more later!
Honestly, this is an area where my characters may need some work (but also some of them lead lives that don't really give them much room for hobbies). I'm also kind of unsure where to draw the line between hobby and skill but this seems like fun though, so here's a few:
Gerard: Gerard really likes to draw, and he's also really good at it to. He has a couple sketchbooks that are filled mostly with portraits of his friends. He also does a lot of research on the different kinds of powers in his universe, where they come from, etc. It ties in a lot with his work (he works as a healer) but it's more of a side project that he spends a lot of time on.
Andor: Also really into comic books. By extension, he also really likes to draw. He actually has several OCs (but I haven't really fleshed them out because they're not hugely important to the main story so they're taking a backseat for now) and he wants to publish his own comic series someday but it's not going so well. He also likes listening to music. His taste is pretty broad and there's not much that he won't listen to. Mostly he likes pop (especially from the 80s)and alt-rock. He tends to cycle through favourites musicians but during the course of the story he's really into Mother Mother No I'm not projecting my interests onto him. Why would you say that?
Ara: Ara is really introverted and kind of just hates people, so most of his hobbies are things that he can do completely by himself because that's fun for him. He really likes to read. Mostly he likes to stick to the classics, but he also likes historical fictions and mysteries (he reads other genres every now and then). He's kind of a fan of books that really make you think (1984 is one of his favourites). He also really likes any kind of logic puzzle (sudoku, crosswords, stuff like that).
Dallas: I'm still trying to flesh out Dallas and his interests, so these aren't really fleshed out as some of the others. He's kind of into photography. He does a lot of stuff for his school yearbook, but outside of that he just takes a lot of really artsy pictures of inanimate objects and landscapes. He also likes reptiles a lot. He has a pet bearded dragon that I'm still trying to come up with a name for (it was Pedro originally but idk if I'll keep that). He wants a snake as well, but his parents keep telling him no. I've also recently been toying with the idea of having him be really interested in true crime. It would probably really work with the story but idk we'll see how it goes I guess.
Jayden is obsessed with superheroes, and spends his free time researching them and trying to find their secret identities.
Zenith likes fighting, video games, and cooking.
Kiani likes to shoot tennis balls into the neighbor's yard when he has freetime.
Yama loves to read in his spare time, mostly because he had nothing better to do for years when living under a mountain. He loves books all about specific topics, but he does encyclopedia crawls when he has the time, looking at certain topics and trying to connect them to others through various entries (like if you went on Wikipedia and tried to connect Catherine the Great to an Ouija board).
Aqua, aside from fishing, loves to fold origami and leave them in weird places for other people to find. You can wake up and find a bear in your sock drawer, a swan in the cabinet, and a fish in the shower if he's really bored.
Guinevere gardens and likes doing math in her spare time. She manages to provide vegetables for the entire household with her one garden (she says it's extra tender-loving care, but it's really the greenhouse around it and some homemade fertilizer). She also loves working with math because she never learned how until she joined the Caravan and realized that it was a good way to exercise her brain when everyone else focused only on their muscles.
Gawain loves collecting smooth river stones for his Hoard because he thinks they look pretty and can be polished to look better than any gemstone on the market.
I haven't really fleshed out any hobbies for Sharla yet, but I suppose that I can work it in that she doesn't really know how to relax due to the fact that she was almost always on alert in case she was ever called into the hospital to work a late shift or something like that.
Galahad loves knitting, crocheting, and pretty much all forms of needlework. It's why he became a tailor in the first place, but his underlings find it sort of humorous whenever they see their extremist leader with two needles and a skein of yarn instead of the stereotypical cat to pet evilly or something like that. He says it's therapeutic, and no one's willing to argue with him.
