Are your characters for roleplay, or do you want to write a novel/comic book, or are you starting a webcomic featuring them? Or do you just like creating stories for fun?
I didn't know what category to put this under, sorry if it's the wrong one lol
I'll start. I really would like to pitch and have an animated series, and if that doesn't work out, I'll probably make my characters into a webcomic or a graphic novel.
Me too! I would love to make a webcomic with my characters but I haven't figured out the plot yet.
I wanna write a manga or a book, maybe both.
I also use them for roleplays on this site to further develop them.
Let’s see
ELM Warriors - Probably just a bunch of short story’s
Gem Mages - A Comic/Manga
One’s that aren’t on here
Spirits: Book Series
Royals of Anzanterio: A Novel
Almost all of my characters are part of a 15+ book interwoven plot universe. I try not to have faves, but….I have faves. I'm hoping to film at least one of them, and one's so short it would probably work best as a graphic novel. So…a lot! xD
this leaves me the problem of what to do with the characters of mine that don't fit into that universe, since I'm too soft to create another storyline that will never meet my current one. It makes me sad for some reason.
I like to make an novel that has a huge fandom behind it.
I actually have a webcomic under construction with some of my characters! Thats what I plan to do with most of them anyways.
@Celestial-Burst I'd love to see your webcomic once it's up and running!
I have plans for a few:
Not Today— Webcomic in the making
The Murder at Bitterhollow— Novel in the making
Blue Devils— Series of short horror stories (but in the form of a book with 8 parts)
Overcast— Novel as well
Crowveil— Dnd campaign (npcs)
Synhaven— Dnd campaign (npcs & pcs)
I honestly don't have much of a plan for my characters tbh XD They're honestly a bunch of people in my head yelling at me to tell the world that they exist. Maybe I'll write about them someday, but for now, most have hardly making it past being a character page.
I have this great idea mapped out in my head on the novel I'm going to write and I love to imagine it getting published and selling out instantly and having a whole fandom and I'll become a well known author and shit. But in reality I'm probably gonna do it as a short story that will just live on my computer :)
All my characters are for novels that I'm either currently writing, or still planning to write. What I do with those novels is a little bit up in the air at the moment though. Originally I was just going to post them to my Wattpad, but lately I've been thinking a little more seriously about publishing.

thank you! i'm glad you're interested.
I'd love to make my characters and the story they're in into an animated series one day! Or, if that doesn't work out, some sort of comic.

Ooh cool! Good luck with that, lots of time and commitment lol

It's definitely a lot of work, yeah 😅 thank you, though, and I wish you luck with your webcomic!
My dream is to publish a novel, and hopefully it'll include a few of my current characters !
it's a disney tv show (like andi mack/hsmtmts/doafp) in my head, but it's probably gonna be a story or something on here
edit: yeah i decided i'm gonna make it into a book, i'm already writing the first chapter
Pawprints: Written book format only, currently in progress and updating! Feeling pretty good about this one ^^
Ambassador Squad: A webcomic I'm currently drawing and posting on DA. It's slower going, but I'm also proud of it ^^;
The Sky House Series/Scrapper Street/The Discovery/The War/Crash/Unnamed dystopian story: Hopefully all webcomics someday, set in the same universe.
Dublin Tree-Hugger/Brooklyn: If I end up actually doing these, they too will be webcomics.
The Erased Ones/Seeds and Stones/Unnamed dystopian stories 2 and 3: These will all be written only (again, if I get to them. I have a lot on my plate lol TvT).
I would like to write a book. Or a series of stories.
my current batch of characters is for a book series i'm working on/drafting, though lately i've been debating at least starting it as an original work on ao3, because if it gained any traction that'd be incentive for me to keep a regular update schedule. but who knows

That's what I'm doing with Pawprints! (on Quotev, not ao3) People seem to like it, and that has definitely motivated me to keep up with updates. It's also forced me to write a proper outline for once so that the story actually makes sense. This is the most organized and productive I've ever been as a writer lol. If you think it might work for you, I only recommend outlining the whole story first, unlike me, and setting a realistic update schedule for yourself. Hope that helps you decide at least! ^^

i outline like crazy before i write because it's a way for me to feel like i'm doing something without actually… starting to write, because that's the scary part :') so who knows, maybe that'd work well for me!! tbh i mostly said ao3 because it was just the first thing that popped into my head, but i might think a little bit more about what the best platform would be

Well I wish you good luck with whatever strategy you choose! Yeah, writing can be pretty daunting at times xD
