I've always liked creating characters, like what the person looks like and stuff like that, but I've never been any good at figuring out what they are bad at doing or just technical flaws with their person. Can anyone give me some general ideas.
take a look at your friends and family and try to draw from real life. for example, i'm really unmotivated a lot of the time (character flaw) but i'm also really bad at math. one of my friends describes herself as a "taker, not a giver" (she always has to be right or have the last say and takes a lot out of other people, emotionally speaking). some might have saviour complexes, or superiority complexes, or god complexes. others might put others down to build themselves up (or even put themselves down to build others up). it doesn't all have to be necessarily bad, but obviously people aren't perfect so our characters aren't either.
Thank you @Cami this helps a lot.
take any good thing and push it to far.Confidence? Arrogance. Comedic? Maybe he doesn't know when to be serious.
