I mean for superheros, theres EVERYTHING
I'm probably not creative enough to think of one that I haven't heard of I guess.
I mean if you do have a unique backstory for your character, I congratulate you.

Maybe they got their powers and wanted to be a stereotypical hero! Or they came from a great background (loving parents, well-off family, etc.) and wanted to show it off vs. share it with the world as opposed to the "tragic backstory" trope (though I'm always a sucker for that one ;v;). For my characters, I tried to perhaps avoid or at least put a twist on the cliche backstories, because coming up with entirely new concepts is fairly difficult. Don't give up!
Kill the cliche! Make your hero become a hero because they did something bad and want to redo their actions or something like that. Let their roots be evil! Like, maybe a hero was in love but someone offered money for their head, and the now hero was too tempted by the money, but now they want to redeem themselves. Be creative with this twist!
I want to do that
but itsn't that getting….
used a lot now?
I can definitely recall considering that as one of my backstories, but as someone I can't remember once said (or posted, I don't know), it's not necessarily that it gets used a lot but how you use it to make it new.
Well I planned for my superhero to be experimented pn and be turned into a brainwashed assassin
but as you can see
thats already taken
A superhero that is the hero to the upper class and the 'villain' is the hero for the lower class.
