forum Trying to figure out my character’s personality

Have you ever had a character that you just… literally can’t describe? That’s what I have right now. And goodness gracious, it is KILLING ME.

This is Mockingjay Mander, a Flygon from the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world who is not, in fact, named after The Hunger Games. I have her backstory down, I have her appearance down, and I have her general vibe down, but… no personality traits whatsoever. And I can’t think of any to describe her in the slightest. I have brainstormed countless possible traits, but every time, I say “no, this isn’t her aesthetic, it doesn’t fit her image.” So, what I think I need is a fresh perspective. A perspective from someone else.

What I need you guys to do is read through her Overview and Looks pages. Read it nice and thoroughly. Then come back here and tell me what your impression of her is. It doesn’t have to be super detailed, I just need a simple “she seems kind of shy” or “I think she’d be an extravert.” Or maybe even a “She has the vibe of a horror movie, but like, one made in Club Penguin.” I just need something to start off with and build off of from there.

I hope you enjoy this little assignment, and her Looks page as well — I spent a while writing it all out and I really hope you enjoy reading it. :)

The impression I got from her is that she is an enigma on the outside with a bursting personality. Before you know her well, she might look shy or standoffish. If you get to know her well, she's sweet (As per the description of softer features). She's peaceful and likes to live in harmony while also growing as a pokémon (Impression from her green color). She might have great optimism with maybe a desire to explore (Impression from the red)

Holy macaroni, thank you! This is just what I was trying to describe, I just couldn’t find the words to do it. This is so descriptive. Thank you so much for finding the time and putting in the effort to write this for me. This helped a lot.
