Two kids, siblings. Their mother left them months after birth, they were raised by their father. The boy, Paul is jealous of the girl, Crystal for getting the looks of their father while he looks a lot like his mother.

If he's supplied with plenty of photographic evidence of their semblance, and people commented on it a lot, I can dig this concept.
