Hey fam!
After the discussion I made asking for some name ideas helped me through a tough part of my novel, I thought it would be useful to start a discussion where everyone just leaves a bunch of name suggestions to make a source people can use when in need of character names.
Leave any names that pop into your mind, even ones that you made up (if you're okay with other people using them)!
Here are my beginning suggestions:
Ty, Tucker, Parker, Preston, Finn, Gordon, Hu

Riley, Tracey, Sandy, Prisella, Willow, Marley, Grace

@M.W.Poel

Also very useful to do when you're out of ideas: use names of people you actually know/ knew. Need a name for a German character? maybe you once met the colleague of your aunt whose german. Or search for most common names in that country, not every name has to be unique, it isn't in the normal world either.
As for names:
female: Suzanne, Iris, Melanie, Melody, Doris
male: John, Gerben, Wallis, Cornellis, Ties, Thijs (Dutch)
whatever: Alex, Jaimie, Robin

Girls: Aria, Adagio, Scarlett, Elizabeth, Luna, Sola, Stella, Yvonne, Chanel, Ellen, Diana, Diane, Helen
Boys: Drew, Art, Carl, Louis, Elliot, Westley, Ronald, Tari, Ian, Oliver, Pierce, Percy
Either: Quinn, Tori

@kittycalyx group

•masculine: simon, aspen, dominik
•feminine: kira, opal, hazel, soledad, cecilia, annika, violet
•ambiguous: sage, alex, max, gray, sam
i also really like names that are traditionally one gender and then have a nickname that's traditionally the opposite! like nicolette goes by nic, olivia goes by ollie, that kind of thing
