Uh oh
I pair zip wth my character Buck!
Buck is a fairly tall guy with short black hair and almond brown eyes. His skin is a nice dark honey color with a few brown moles sprinkled around. He is of asian decent, but its kind of hard to tell since he inherited his Dad’s strong European genes.
Buck is kind of a wild card. When drunk, he likes to egg people on until he ultimately does it himself. Some say he is a chill guy, but once you get on his bad side you’re set there for life.
He likes to wear casual clothes when out and about and will rarely dress up for fancy occasions. He has to wear glasses so, a key feature of his is the black clock looking glasses on his nose.
Buck hates spinach and likes to swim/play tennis in his free time.
I imagine them meeting somewhere unexpected.
“ Guess who made the evening news?!”
Zip looks up from her table. Irritation spread across her face as a man, nearly twice her height, comes stumbling into the bar.
His hair is in a mess, glasses askew, and Zip is pretty sure his shoes are on the wrong foot.
To put it simply, he looks like a mess.
She sits up straight in her chair as the guy stomps behind her to the bar. “ I’m gonna be famous!’ He bellows, messily pulling himself up and onto the bar stool. “ Soon!” He takes a moment to scan the menu.” Im gonna be a household name! Hahaheh!”. He throws his head back in uncontrollable laugher as everyone else in the bar watches him.
The bartender raises a single brow, a smirk already on his face.” Oya? How did this happen. Buck?”
Zip scoots closer to the bar, intent on listening to the conversation more clearly.
Buck giggles. “ The news lady down on fifth was- was filming some kind of…of..” Buck stutters to find the word.
“Film?” The bartender suggests.
Buck nods giddily. “ Yeah! Yeah! Film! Hse was filming a film and one of the camera men was…were! Filming he and-” Zip rolled her eyes as the guy rambled on and on in repetition. The conversation was not turning out as interesting as she would of hoped…so, the bar was officially useless at this point.
Sighing to herself. Zip pushed out her chair and set down a three dollar tip before shoving her hands in her pockets and strolling towards the door.
‘ Maybe some of the other bars will be more…lively..’ Zip thought with obviously masked boredom.
Opening the door, Zip stepped out into the crispy cold air and took a deep breath. The bar was kind of getting stuffy anyway…with all the people and the yelling, the air was very hot. Probably too hot for her taste.
Preparing to bring up a map to the nearest bar of her phone, Zip was rudely interrupted by a large body slamming into her from behind. She tumbled forward but was quick enough to land on her feet and not face plant on the ground.
“ Oh shiii- Im so sorry! I didn’t see you!” The tall man from the bar screamed, his pupils blown wide in intoxication. He stepped down from the bars entrance and stood by Zip’s side. His arms stretched out in hesitance. “ Are you okay?”
Zip mumbled to herself and glared up at the tall man. “ I’m fine…Watch where you’re going next time…” Zip shrugs her coat up higher on her shoulders and juts out her chin. “ See ya.” Zip silently turns away from the man and stalks off without a word.
The man stares at her with his mouth gaped open stupidly before shaking his head and chasing after her.
“ Wait! Wait! Lady?” He called, skipping to a stop behind Zip. “ Where you heading off to so late at night? Got a date? A job?” Buck stops walking as Zip strolls past him without a single look. “ you work on the streets?”
Zip stops in her tracks. She turns around in a flash with her teeth grit. “ The fuck did you just say to me, you string bean?”
“ Um…its Buck.” The mna, Buck, says dumbly.” And I said, do you-”
Zip cuts him off. “ I know what you said! I just can’t understand why you would say it?!” Zip exclaims, throwing her hands up into the air. “ Do I look like a hooker?”
Buck looks her up and down. “….Nooo?’
Zip growls. “ Why does that sound like a question?”
“ Because I don’t know if being classified as a hooker is a compliment or not…It’s 50/50 for some people.” Buck explains, oblivious to Zip’s offense.
Zip rolls her eyes. “ What…Whatever. Just leave me alone.” Zip faces away from Buck and sets back on her path. “ See ya later.”
Buck perks up at that. “ Really?”
Zip looks back at him with a blank face and shrugs. “ Sure. Whatever.”
Buck fist pumps the air. “ Sweet!….Wait, whats youre name!”
Zip rolls her eyes. “ Zip. Zip Grayson….and, I’ll see you next week.” With a wink, Zip turns the corner and disappears from Buck’s sight. Leaving him alone…and flabbergasted.
He scratches at his chin. “ Zip Grayson, huh?…Nice.”
