Hey, so I'm slowly writing/creating this massive universe and it has a lot of characters, who I like to think are unique individuals. I'm gonna write a list of my main characters and if you could tell me what you think about them, that would be awesome.
'Little Bird' - So Little Bird is the name (one of many) given to a girl who was taken off the streets and trained to become an assassin/spy for this dodgy dude called Neran. For him, she becomes an informant within the castle of the royal family and ends up doing some assassination for Neran from age 11 and beyond. She doesn't always like the things she's made to do but she does them so that Neran won't get rid of her.
Degenhardt Marrionneaux - Yeah, I know, it's a crazy name. Degenhardt (Degen for short) is the prince of the kingdom of Eidelfel and he's a bit of a snob at times, though he's determined to avenge his sister, Areinaya. He is very stubborn and will do anything to get his way
Elia Omarynn - Elia escaped her home kingdom of Lameia at age 6. On the journey almost everyone who was with her died protecting her. She's dropped off in the next door kingdom and she ends up having a bit of an identity crisis there, before returning home ten years later. (I haven't really fleshed out the bulk of her story yet)
Alearie and Alyria Cicierega - These two are identical twins who escape their home with there 8 year old brother and 4 year old sister when they are 10. They do this after the rest of their family is executed for crimes they didn't commit. Alearie and Alyria get seperated from their younger siblings and spend the next nine years searching for them, while trying to hide their true identity and to avenge the death of their family
Deedee Mason - Deedee loses her parents when she's 12 and is taken to a small village by her elder sister, Dandilyen (Danny for short). Danny ends up going missing, so Deedee is left to take care of her special needs sister, Daisie. Deedee ends up making a series of mistakes and neglects Daisie and ends up spending the rest of her life being overprotective and living with many regrets
Tymond Lagresi - Tymond was abandoned as a baby after his parents died. He was raised by these wild fictional animals I made up called silvers. He spends the rest of his life with the silvers, finding he prefers them to humans
Armon - Armon is what is known as a Soul Whynder in my world (he's basically dead, but still able to function like a normal person. He can also take away people's souls). He is trapped in a cycle of being used by the army as a weapon and doesn't think he would ever be able to make anything of himself on his own.
Zazzalil - Zazzalil is daughter of her tribe's chief. She is a great huntress, but she has to keep her daughter a secret because she was born a Heart Whynder (basically the same as a Soul Whynder, only Heart Whynder's take people's heartbeats). Zazzalil tries to find a way to heal her daughter and travels all over the country.
Elda - Elda is part Siren (in my world and for Elda in particular, this means that she doesn't need to eat, sleep or breathe). She's mostly deaf due to being right next to a lightning strike. She also doesn't talk, not because she can't, but because she chooses not to. She is greatly intrigued and attracted to storms. She also has conversations with the ocean without ever a word being spoken between them.
Patryk O'Hyre - So Patryk is pretty dodgy and, in my opinion, rather evil. He kidnaps a Siren after claiming her grandfather's land as his own. And after the Siren escapes, he seeks vengeance and tries to hunt her and her grandfather down so that he can kill them
Zoe - Zoe's father died the day she was born while he was trying to protect her from the beasts. She grows up being curious and cautious about the beasts. She wants to make peace with the beasts but fears that she will die in the process. So basically she spends her whole life fearing death and won't venture outside her village.
(The following are recently added characters to my series, so I've edited this post to add them in)
Oisín Neve - Oisín is of the Fog Fields and he is very firm in his beliefs. He will not break any rules. Though he is a hopeless romantic, especially when it comes to Willa, who changes everything for the people of the Fog Fields. Oisín is pretty much obsessed with Willa and he is absolutely devastated when she leaves
Abena Efkarpidis - Abena helps to lead a group of rebels in overthrowing the country that is currently in power over her home land of Lameia. She is a very feisty and passionate person and will fight to the end for what she believes in.
Ellaine Pine - Ellaine is the second daughter of a wealthy lord. Her parents want her to marry an eligible knight, though she is in love with the gardener's boy, Charlie. She is pressured a lot, and even more so when her father dies and her sister starts pressuring her to wed the knight. She rebels and tries to run away with Charlie. Eventually she does as her family bid and is forced to leave Charlie behind. (just think about 'Rewrite the Stars' from Greatest Showman)
Bannen Efkarpidis - Bannen is Abena's younger brother and loves to travel. As soon as he's old enough he leaves Lameia and travels all over the known world. He is a freindly, helpful and adventurous person. He is basically Aladdin when it comes to acquiring food. He is rather carefree and will just do whatever he wants really.
So those are my main character's so far, let me know what you think and whether or not my explanation of them and a bit of their story makes sense. Also thanks for having the patience to make it to the end of this post, I really appreciate it.
Also just a note, that some descriptions may seem a little incomplete, that's probably because I'm leaving out parts that would contain spoilers for the stories
