I'm in a rut lately character building, and I want to hear about some of y'all's (I'm not gonna steal them, don't worry! I'm just hoping that hearing some people gush about their favorite ocs will get that brain juice flowing)! I don't really care how you present them, just drop them in! Do they have any notable relationships? Family? Friends? Pets? What's their plot/arc? Let's groove. Hell, even give me your favorite AU or your favorite song for them, if you really feel like it. Go hog wild, babes!

@Simon-Says

Hi, so, um I'm in the process of creating a new character, her name is Maple, and she's a witch, and, um, I love her. She's quiet (but NOT shy) and observant and she has these SICK vine tattoos on her arms. So yeah. There's that. I didn't know what else to say lol

Ekharin, a new character of mine. He ties into my BIG universe, End of Time, although he’s in his own sort of universe. Involvement with EoT is smallish either way. He was once human, but ‘died’, then was brought back to life by a necromancer. However, things went awry, and he became what is known as a Rift Walker, a subspecies of Eldritch from EoT. Any creature can become one, including humans- you just need the right circumstances.

Ekharin is a shy guy, to put it simply. He dislikes being thought of as scary, so he prefers to stay away from others. The last ‘close contact’ he had was with his lover, an unnamed human female, but she passed away before he did. And who knows when Ekharin will, either. Eldritch are immortal (can be killed, just really hard to), and it’s assumed Rift Walkers bear the same rules with being a lot smaller than them.

Most of his plot has to do with his life becoming a Rift Walker. He sought revenge on the necromancer that caused this, although his revenge is debatable if it was justified or not. He reunited with his lover for a short time, got chased by people with pitchforks for a bit, caught some attention, went on the run (despite his immense ability, Ekharin doesn’t like to harm others and avoids fights.)

Even with that being said he is protective towards those he cares about, and takes bonds seriously. He doesn’t accept betrayal easily and can get extremely hostile when those he likes are threatened.

In the aftermath of his history arc, Ekharin spends most of his days wandering the frozen lands he once lived peacefully in. He still sort of does, just has to be careful not to attract the wrong attention.

(Getting into a tread that hasn´t been touched in a while? actually quite likely)
So… I already talk too much about the guys from my comic so I´m going to use some from a project I haven´t touched in a while.
There´s Mot, she´s just tired, a little bit grumpy, sarcastic, may or may not drink a little bit too much and honestly she´s just too done with being a seer (seers in that world are the reincarnation of some sort of deity but nobody knows Mot is one). then there´s Kayden, Mot´s best friend, equally as tired and done but less sarcastic, everyone´s older brother and also a drunk, the guy has been struggling with depression for quite a while, Imala (might change the name, idk), the youngest, a teen who is a little bit mature for her age, is really a mess but does a good job at hiding it but gets easily stressed.

Einar, another teen but a little bit older than Imala, a little bit angsty, an actual sweetheart on the inside, a really grumpy one but a sweetheart nonetheless, Nerys, everyone´s mom/older sister, sleep deprived, way too many energy for her own good, generally chill but won´t hesitate to kill someone, Raiko, pretty much sees Nerys like a mentor, generally quiet, manages to convince everyone he is calm despite being internally screaming, can and would kill someone despite not looking like it, Remi (may also change name), who has no chill, is really sarcastic and a little bit too sneaky for everyone´s good, a little bit of a mad scientist when bored despite not being a scientist or anything similar, loves his girlfirend, Aleiah, who isn´t taking any crap from people, can and WILL kill someone, is doing her best at everything and has a soft spot for fluffy animals, also, really loves her tall boyfriend (she´s a dwarf, everyone´s looks tall to her)

As far as character arcs go, is complicated, everyone had their own stuff going on but those are spoilers of what I want to do with them, though they have one goal in common, survive, they´re all mages, in that world mages are killed (peole are scared of what they don´t understand, blah, blah, blah, you know how it goes), their goal is to survive and have a normal life, as far as personal goals, Mot wants to live a good life, Kayden wants to get some control over his life and have a family, be happy and all that kind of stuff, Imala just wants to grow up as a normal person and then do certain thing that I can´t say because of spoilers, Einar wants to settle down (the dude spent a good part of his childhood on a ship), Nerys wants to help people with her alchemy, Raiko wants to be a doctor and maybe write one or two books, maybe more, who knows, Remi and Aleiah want to find a nice place, get married, Aleiah want to open her own shop and Remi wouldn´t mind being part of the family bussiness (that´s also spoilers)…

this looks like a kind of old thread, but i'm on a reply roll so here we go.

so, Edarol is a kind of popular character to use for these activity threads. funny thing though, i never liked him at first. i hated his name and i created him so people would read one of my online books. somehow, though, i gained a love for his timid personality and developed him to where he is now. he has like,,, 1 friend and i'm proud. he's vv afraid of death and tends to shy away from the world. ghosts love to possess him and tell him what to do, so that's that. poor boy.
Kardei is another one of my very favorites because she is relatable. i usually call her by Qupiss, his last name, because it's more memorable and catchier. they do not have a troll guardian, a lusus, some big animal, for some reason though. so they barely leave the house to get junk food. their friend is also a stoner? they love pez for some reason. genderfluid pride tho, i'm proud to develop her to her full potential.
honestly, this list could go on forever. but for the sake of my fingers, i'll stop there.

Godfried the Slayer: He's a 44-year-old Knight/Monster hunter who is looking forward to retirement, except doom is on the horizon. The haunted forest is spreading and the world is filling up with more monsters, even some new ones he and his order aren't prepared for.

People insult Godfried a lot, he gets shit for being old, for desecrating a royal princesses grave for a cool sword, for having a pet Griffin despite the fact they are extremely dangerous "big fuck off" creatures and for being a little bit better at sword fighting than most others despite his age.

Okay he had a good reason for the sword. He was defenseless after spear throwing his last sword down the throat of a giant spider with a circular mouth. It worked the spider's dead but he really needed a sword. This sword was perfect for him, except it was made for a Princess decades ago. It was made from Dedrunium a metal that negates magic, even drains it, cuts from it feel like they are burning and some monsters experience rapid blood cell decay if they recieve too many wounds from it. It's also extremely light, durable and the blade is black. Cool a free legendary sword gifted to a princes because "ooo shiney rare" until she gets cut from it and slowly dies.

So yeah touchy subject. Godfried however wants to retire to the love of his life in Klaith, she's a shieldmaiden named Brunnhilde, they've been waiting eagerly for years to be together only crossing paths rarely these days.

My close to finish character is Catrìona Rose, she's a healer in the Kingdom of Thauris. During the war the Kingdom has recently experienced, Catrìona was missing, presumed dead and she only has a vague idea of what happened to her - whatever it was, it wasn't nice.

Unwilling to return to her home nation, one of the annexed Kingdoms under Thauris, is remains in the capital, Alrewas, where she lives as a physician in the Castle. Her abilities become well renowned in the city, but she developed a dangerous enemy in the form of her aunt when she sides with the new King, particularly when she uncovers the information her aunt tried to hide and then exploit. She eventually marries the King, which becomes a happy marriage.

Outside the castle walls, it's discovered by the other characters that don't know her well that she is far from a wall-flower. In a mission to a nearby town that has been devastated by plague, she shows herself to be apt with a dagger as well as in archery. Of course, this is because she used to travel a lot in her duties and needed to defend herself, although she'd rather not get into a fight if help. She is

She is a faithful believer in the Way of the Seven Sisters, particularly Melusine, the Goddess of Creation and is dubious of the Monasterium's belief system as they keep massacring people with magical abilities.

@GoblinKing

i love all of y’all’s characters and the thought that went into them! the worldbuilding that gets worked into their backstories makes them all SO unique!

So I have a character that is called Oceenus. She is a HellHound/Mershark Hybrid. She was abused by her parents which causes her to leave and change her gender. She never told her parents where she was going.
