Atsuko:" I've waited over three MILLENIUMS for you, three thousand years of a torturous existence, Akane! I couldn't die, everyone around me eventually turned into dirt we're standing on right now. But not once did I give up hope of finding you. I know you aren't the Goddess anymore, but she lives on in you. Do you really think I wouldn't make the mistake of blurring the two of you together?"
Akane: "I smile because that's what makes others happy! I give and give and give, and I never expect anything in return, because what matters to me is that the people around me are enjoying life. And I forgive… because I don't want to be left alone."
Chise: "I don't like to speak. It's not completely neccesary in day-to-day life, but it's also because I'm afraid of the backlash I'll face when I say something that may be interpreted offensively. Back when I lived with my parents, it happened all the time. I had bruises for even the most minor offenses. Am I really that worthless?"
Rin: "I sympathize with you. I always have thing feeling of frustration that lingers over me, like a stormy cloud. I smile and nod, all while mentally giving the morons a good punch to the jawline. I'm afraid to take action because I know that if I actually get violent, I won't be able to stop myself.
Umiko: "Just shut up! Do us a favor and just go sit in the corner where you can't bother us! Do you even know how lucky you are? You have a loving family who will care for you no matter what, while some of us have bonds that are just barely being held together. Who cares if your daddy never came back, get a grip and move on!"
Ekheim: “Things change, people, places, things all chance and we deal with them in our own ways. If you could understand that we only do this for our survival, perhaps this process could be easier for you to accept.”
And also Ekheim: “We are not one, but many. We are Elderborn.”
Sehkero: “With that change, brother, people resist. They’ve done it before. They’ll do it again. Peace is possible, and there are many ways to do it.”
Image: “Just because I’m younger than what your kind considers adult doesn’t mean I’m less capable. I escaped what your species calls Elderborn; hell, even in their own turf. I hunt them for a living. I hunt the monsters you made to kill the Elderborn and I sell their cores.”
Frenzy: “You gave me life, and we are the reason your kind still lives in this world. I imagine how easy it would be to wipe your kind out if we allied with the Elderborn, but with Image still lurking about, I can’t exactly betray any of you just yet.”

Ann/Cyborg: "I may not have been born with powers, but I get to have whatever power I can construct with my prosthetics. Isn't that more powerful in the long run?"
Ziggy/Honeybee: "I'm gentle, not naive. Just because I watch kids shows and sleep with a teddybear doesn't mean I can't defend myself. I'm strong enough that I don't have to act like a jerk just to try and prove a point."
