So right now in my dnd group the party just reached the point where I haven't fully planned everything out,
The point of the of the arc is for the adventurers to help the dwarfs and the drows to share a large kingdom underground. unfortunately the dwarfs and the drow hate each other and the adventurers are split up into groups of three going into the drow and dwarf kingdom and thats as far as I got
What I need is a decent story and I have an idea for a plot twist but that can wait
Okay, so are your players more interested in character arcs or are they more the type to want to hack-and-slash everything? Cause that will determine how much enjoyment they'd get out of a high-stakes political intrigue-type plot vs a 'kill enough of them to make them see reason' plot. Do you want them to hold and moderate a peace conference - where the challenge is to get both parties to agree to one - or something along the lines of an indiana jones-style dungeon to capture something both parties really, really want? Or maybe a mixture of both?
I think a mixture of both would work best just because my p,layers are weird
