Smick looked at Kayleb then the water. He poured it on the ground and watched it for a moment. Nothing happened. He sighed and gave the cup back to Medea and ran toward Kayleb, his teeth barred.
Kayleb sighed, tucking his book back under his arm, and met Smick halfway in the middle of the street. "What were you really doing in that tree? I can't have people spying on-" He stopped momentarily, searching for the right lie to cover his little slip-up. "-I can't have people watching me."
"Watching you?" Smick repeated, offended. "Why would I be watching you? I was looking for a friend, Sallow."
"Sallow?" Kayleb replied, genuinely interested. "About my height, Deer hybrid?"
Medea looks at the two, and pays close attention to make sure nothing aggressive is gonna happen. She goes back to taking and making orders, noticing the owl had flown away. It stayed much shorter than usual today. It usually stays until the store closes at 5 PM.
Smick was confused. "Your height? No, he's the size of a cat! He is a cat! But he's made of water. People have tried to drink him before, so do me a favor and avoid water for awhile, okay?"
"Well… just stay away from that part of the woods, and as far as you know neither I or Sorrow exist." Kayleb resigned, turning tail and heading over to the shop. "And yes, I'm getting water."
"Okay, but one time in December an angler-fish tried to drink him and he choked it to death, so…" Smick warned.
Smick dashed back to Medea's shop, "sorry about that," he apologized.
(to me or Medea? btw i know my character is a jerk i'm not just wanted to clarify I think you're cool)
(lol Smick is apologizing to Medea, and also thanks you're cool too)
"Don't worry about it. You guys didn't cause much of a scene or trouble my customers. But please take it outside next time, but I appreciate you apologizing." Medea smiles.
Smick smiled too, and racked his mind for something to say. "Where'd your owl go?"
Casting a glance at Smick, Kayleb changed his mind about the guy. He didn't seem to be too suspicious after all. "You want anything? I'm sorry for acting like an absolute baka."
"I don't know. He flew off extra early today. Maybe another will come in soon, who knows?" She giggles a little bit.
"No, but thanks." Smick said.
"Hopefully," Smick replies to Medea, and felt like the center of attention and blushed under his scales.
"Would you like some tea? It's nearly the end of the shop hours and I have plenty of tea to spare," Medea offers, looking around at the nearly empty shop.
"Sure," he accepted.
Medea decides to make the tea by hand this time.
"What kind would you like?" She asks him, gesturing to the variety of teas she has for sale (which also lists the kinds she has).
Smick shrugged. He had never had tea before. She glanced at Kayleb and then at Medea. "What kind do you prefer?" He asked both of them.
"I'd have to say my favorite's green tea with a dash of honey." Medea smiles.
"I guess I'll try it then…" he smirked.
(I'll be back in a few minutes)
