So, I've got kind of a love triangle and I want a little bit of advice on it…

Zenith (Male panromantic asexual), is in love with Jayden (Non-binary aromantic). John (Male gay) is in love with Zenith.

Zenith spends a long time pining after Jayden, who he has no idea is aro. He eventually asks them out, and they say no. Zenith understands this, but is really sad about it.

John has been trying to flirt with an oblivious Zenith since day one. Unfortunately, Zenith (despite being panromantic) doesn't love him back, which creates a form of love triangle.

This whole thing will be spread across the trilogy, and I want to know if its okay, or if its just weird. Any advice?

I'm not a big fan of love triangles specifically because of the fact that most people end up doing in in a overly cliched and unoriginal or even cringey way, and I think thats why most other people dislike them as well. So I think if you can find a way to put your own flare, some twists, and a little bit of originality into it, then it can be done well and in a way that people won't think its too cliche. I think the whole "Jayden being aro and rejects Zenith" is a pretty good idea to the whole thing and changes it from the basic "Oh I can't chose who to be in love with" stuff lol.

I had an idea for one, where all three of them just sit down, and talk it out casually, and two of them end up getting together and the other guy is happy for them. Lol

Well, the thing is, no one loves each other back. Jayden is aro, and Zenith isn't into John. So that's not really possible in this case…

No, I know, it's just a thing I thought of a while back that I thought counted as a non-cliché love triangle. But your idea is pretty cool.
