Talk about your main character of the story, and discuss more about they're backstory.

Here's mine.
Her name is Dove Lillian Vulc, when we're first introduced to her she is 8 and later 13 as the series progresses(which is set in the 1610's). In the side story she is a reoccurring character and is 123 years old due to immortality(even though she looks like shes in her early 20's despite the dark circles under her eyes, and is set in the 1730's). In the main story, she is 222, and it is set in the 1820's.

As a young child, she wears a brown coat with black pants, and a light blue shirt. She has messy black hair and has a scar under each eye. She is always happy and full of life. No scars, but after an incident she could barely talk and took time for her throat and organs to regrow. After that she becomes more distant.
When she is an adult she wears a red coat with a pink sleeveless turtle neck, and a magenta vest over it. She has black pants and grey boots. Her hair is longer and still messy, she appears very tired and emotionless. Under her coat, she is covered in various claw and bite marks. She has a very big on her neck that sometimes bleeds and shows a bit of bone(this scar indicates how she died). Another claw mark that travels from her chest to thighs and a big bite mark on her entire body and both inner and outer thighs.

Dove as a young child is very bright and curious, but as she ages she becomes more distant and more mature and violent. This behavior is due to the trauma she had to endure from her "Friend", she killed one of her caretakers and many other people and ate them. She forms a type of depression and forms schizophrenia due to her "Friend", she gets very sick after she throws up molting lava and loses her organs and her voice for awhile, almost killing her and making her immortal. This worsens her mental state and her insomnia and her nightmares worsen.
As an adult she appears emotionless and has very dark circles under eyes, she no longer speaks with feeling and gusto like before and sounds cold and serious. She doesn't seem to feel anything at all, she doesn't smile, she doesn't cry, and she doesn't feel pain. And she is always heard talking to someone else even though there is no one there, she no longer sleeps and just sits in a chair staring at nothing and seems like she is annoyed…at something…even though there is nothing there.

"Dove is….different..from other people…she doesn't show any distress, but I can tell if she IS in distress. She would shake and stare glare at random corners..its not her fault..shes just broken." -Grace, Dove's adopted sister.

Thats…really depressing. I almost don’t want to share about my bright land on top of the clouds.

Well…. compared to all that, my character is not so depressing. Her name is Everrose Maylee Solo, but her referred to as Ev or Evi by her friends and family. Everrose It part of a clan of beings called the SoulEaters, who wield the power of Dead Magic. SoulEaters have the ability to fade/merge in and out of darkness or shadow, posses dead bodies, and the ability to (though only used by the strongest or most skilled of SoulEaters) kill someone with a single stare. Every SoulEater can create black, feathered wings, but Everrose – although mastered the ability – can't make her wings look solid. Instead, the are smoke-like and slightly translucent. She has very dark purple eyes (almost black) and black hair (purple-dyed midsections and red-dyed tips). She is a slave for the Outlanders, along with most of her clan. Her clan, being SoulEaters were discriminated by the Supremes and banished into slavery so that they would not be a "threat". of course, they aren't. Before the banishment, SoulEaters were normally a peaceful clan and despite their dark stereotypes, they were quite friendly. They believed in equality of all clans – "As the earth cannot live without the sky, as so life cannot be without death" was their motto. Everrose herself, knowing that her family would be hard to hide with her being there (she was quite well-known among the clans), sold herself into slavery so her family could hide, and her two little brothers would be protected. She worked for the Outlanders for a few years, plotting her escape. Her chance came, but not as she expected. She stole a sacred item, Evenlee's Ring (it held the power of creation itself), and escaped with it. Everrose wears black leather pants, a purple linen shirt, and is often seen wearing a black, long, waterproof cloak around her shoulders. She has fair skin that is covered in cuts and scars from her work as a slave, but none that will remain forever. She is generally a very introverted, quiet girl that simply strives for equality of all races. But if needed, she will be a deadly fighting machine, especially skilled in archery and arial combat.

I have a group of characters that are my mains, there are Avery and Angel who we first see. Asher who is an exiled Fey, Rox who is a moon elf, Cherry who is a werewolf, Bren who everything that he touches withers, Hunter a blind prince who is in pursuit of magic, and Dusk.

Dusk is the person who ties all of them together, they all know Dusk. They just don't remember how. Perhaps from another life? A long lost family member? They have many questions, but they all know. They must find Dusk.

Dove is quiet and doesn't speak much. But when she does she is actually quite talkative, and she can tell jokes but still have an emotionless expression on her face, people find this a little creepy meanwhile her sister is laughing up a storm.

Dove has a son named Benjamin, she cares about him and loves him for who he is. He is mute due to his mouth being sewn shut by headhunters(thats how he became immortal), he knows sign language and telepathy. He is also very protective of his mother like she is to him, he doesn't really know who his father is. Every time he asks she becomes quiet and doesn't speak for a month…its very insensitive..

Now Grace. Dove's sister.
If you ever meet Grace and Dove, you wouldn't believe that they're related. And they're not, but really good best friends. Grace is loud, funny, sarcastic, and an ax wielding maniac that can shape-shift..wait what.
Grace is a Nahual, and one of the last few. Since she is a mestizo(half blood) she can even change into different people, and grow a beard just to mess with people. She can change into animals as well, she enjoys turning into a giant wolf and a horse.
One time she scared Leon half to death by changing her face to a horse head.
But she is very protective of Dove, she makes sure she is okay and is always seen near her. And she helps her deal she her attacks and nightmares.

Grace is a walking meme, she is the type of person to break the fourth wall and say stupid stuff and even recite random vines and quotes from movies(THAT HAVEN'T EVEN HAPPENED YET).
Grace: Wow..I can't believe he died of ligma..
Lucille: Whats ligma?
Dove: GRACE.

In Dove's early life she has had many caretakers(mainly they were demons and the only human one tried to kill her and turned into a Wendigo) lets talk about them.
Lucid. Lucid is very mysterious and seems very cold but she is actually very nice and cares about everyone, he isn't well liked because he is the Devil..yeah. But he is the closest father figure that she has ever had, many years ago he lost his wife and daughter. He looks to Dove as his own kid and cares about her and makes sure she is safe. He doesn't want her involved in the mess with the Velke and her "Friend". After her secret was revealed he was forced to distant himself from her because he had to go to Heaven and convince the Angel of Annihilation, Hasmed, to NOT KILL HER.
He still misses her and feels guilty for what he did to her….he shouldn't have sent her away. When she was sent away she lost her head.

Now Zepar. Zepar is a well known demon and duke in hell, he is very oblivious and a well liked guy even though he is an incubus. He is considered one of Dove's good friend and is the "duncle"(dad and uncle).
But he has an older sister, Esiheth. She is a succubus but she is very nice and taught Dove how to defend herself against people, shes the nice aunt.
Then theres Naamah…if you ever watched Parks and Rec you would understand she is like Tammy 2…shes crazy..and taught Dove how to hold a knife. She is the cool aunt.
Then Phenex, he taught Dove about alchemy and science. He is very calm and is a huge nerd.
Forneus taught Dove how to speak different languages and some philosophys. Him, Phenex, and Marchosias are the three smartest demons in hell.
Marchosias taught Dove different types of magic and souls, he is very energetic and loves seeing new forms of magic.(All three of them are the nerdy uncles)
Then theres Rufus. Rufus is a tempter, demon tempters are smaller than other demons and there isn't usually a lot. He is always hungry and oblivious, he is like a cousin to Dove even though he is much older than her. He has ptsd but he doesn't let it bother him.

Everything was fine until Dove's secret was revealed. Some of the demons began distancing themselves from her out of fear, others wanted her dead. Zepar and Eisheth felt betrayed but she was the same kid they knew. Phenex was shocked and started to look for solutions to help her. Naamah was terrified, she was the most distant. Forneus was scared out his mind like Naamah. Marchosias was angry. Why didn't Lucid tell them about her..about HIM..WHY ARE THEY ALIVE.

Dove was disappointed in herself. She began hating herself because they were scared of her. Lucid tried to reassure her but he had to keep leaving trying to convince Hasmed to not kill her. So Eisheth, Zepar, and Rufus had to watch her. Zepar made sure she was comfortable and safe, Eisheth would talk to her about it, and Rufus would be there as a friend.

(everything was fine UNTIL THE FIRE NATION ATTACKED)

My main character is a Half-Dragon named Yamatsukami (though he mostly goes by Yama). He was born to a dragon father and human mother, though don't ask him how that worked out. All he says he knows is that his mother is over seven feet tall and his father was the runt of his family, you do the math.
Despite being born with rare Earthbending magic, his human side limits his power compared to his father. That doesn't really mean much though when his dad can move an ENTIRE MOUNTAIN and Yama can move a house-sized boulder. Yama has an affinity for weapons, though it's more the process rather than their use that he enjoys. He and his family are social outcasts from the rest of the world, as humans and dragons don't like each other. The wyverns, however, don't like anybody. Humans have been overhunting them for decades when the story begins, and there is about to be a three-way war between humans, dragons and wyverns.
Basically, the wyverns called for help, dragons tried to help, humans told them to keep their snouts out of it, and things only escalated from there. Yama and his family are trying to find any and all magic users in the world (every one more secluded and further out of the way than the last) until they can hopefully intervene and get everyone to calm down for, like, five seconds so they can negotiate.

The reason why everyone was so scared is because she had a Velke Zlo, in her. The Velke Zlo are monsters, worse than demons, they would take other peoples souls and eat them, they massacred kingdoms and both Heaven and Hell. And were responsible for the death of Lucid's family. Many demons and angels live in a memory of fear from the Velke. They're giant serpents with madible like horns on each side of the mouth, sharp teeth to tear apart a living person, claws to cut through mountains, eyes to make you beg for death, and hair long and wild covering the back where they're wings are. Dove's "Friend" is one, and his name, is Hircine.
Hircine manipulates people into doing anything he wants them to do, he made Dove kill Luthor. He made her kill those people and ate them just to satisfy him. He has a sick humor as he sneaks into others nightmares and tortures them. He has a sick fascination for Dove and wants her to be one with him.
Hircine and Dove's relationship can hardly be called one because of how awful it is, describing them is hard….its like Lapis and Jasper but 10 times WORSE.

The Velke were once known as the Desti Dobro, creatures of God like angels until they became corrupted and wanted more power. They killed most of the tempters but the ones that survived had to hide under the bodies, and they became insane as most demons we know today. Many Lords and Kings were killed, Lucid had to watch as the Velke slaughtered his wife and young daughter. The Velke killed half of Heaven and made Azreal the Angel of Death even fear them. They sick beings as they would capture mortals and force themselves upon them, creating Necromancers, Vampires, Werewolves, and Ghouls. The first one was the Primera Bruja, she was evil.
The Primera came from nothing and built an empire, she slaughtered anyone that stood in her way. She killed anyone that posed a threat to Hircine, her daughter ended up being her downfall.
