I have a character that is a mermaid…actually a merman.
In this universe, mermaids are actually some species of fish. The scales, colors and the tail shape, everything matches.
I was searching some species and I came across two beautiful ones :
gramma fish - that is purple and yellow, colors that match with his personality and it was the first design that I imagined.
Yellowtail Damselfish - this one is dark blue and yellow, I like more the joke with "damsel" than the colors.
They're both marvelous fish, but I must choose one in order to progress the story. Which one is best: the joke or the color design? Any suggestions or ideas?
