Okay, I'm really stuck rn and I'd really appreciate some help. (I know, duh, otherwise I wouldn't have made a discussion thread in the first place. )
Anyways, I've got some characters who are all medium- to light-brown skinned, but I need words to describe their skintones outside of the usual "coffee/brown sugar/chocolate/some other vague comparison to food" cliche. I'm really out of ideas rn, and I also want to make sure that what I have is true to their genetics.
I have a couple of these characters, but right now I'm mostly focused on a specific one: He's mixed 2nd/3rd generation American-Italian, and South Korean. (Italian-American on his mom's side, Korean on his dad's.)
His skin is, basically, your typical natural Korean nut-brown, only lighter and kinda olive toned, from his Italian heritage.
Does this sound accurate? And can you think of a better description for the skin: pale brown with olive undertones?
If you have any ideas, please comment. (Seriously, I've actually resorted to such ridiculous descriptions as 'the color of a new cardboard box'. It's gotten absurd. Please, take pity. Help me.)
