Another user had this cool idea for getting to know your character by interviewing them. I'm gonna give it a try with my MC, Mr. Mercury. He's a super hero that lives in Crystal Springs, Idaho. His secret identity is Carter Williams. Ask any questions you like and he will answer to the best of his ability.
Do you have any special abilities? (Greater intellect, speed, etc.)
I have this really awesome ability actually! It's called…. what did the scientist say again? Oh that's right - constituent matter manipulation. Or something like that.
Basically I can control every molecule in my body and do whatever I want with it. Density, movement, temperature, all that good stuff. Only thing is, I can only work with what I've got. So no stretching to unbelievable lengths, I gotta pull it from somewhere. This fist gets big and heavy, while that arm shrinks. I'm constantly learning new ways to use it.
I've also tried finding ways of… adding more matter to play with. First idea was fat. I did the best I could to gain wait, not easy with a fast metabolism I might add. It worked though. Only problem is, it takes concentration to hold a form, so unless I was constantly thinking about it, that made me a big fat guy by choice. Only other option was muscle. Let me tell you, that was a long process, losing the fat to gain the muscle. Worked though!
Is there a special someone in your life right now?
I do have a girlfriend. Her name is Hannah. She's a pretty great girl, and we've been together for about a year and a half now. I'd day things are going great. Date nights a few times a week, going out for lunch on her breaks, phone calls, all that good stuff.

The last time I used my powers? There was a mugging that I stopped while I was out last night, though I don't think I actually needed them, just the fact that I showed up was enough to make him drop the weapon. Pretty great being that famous around town. Pretty soon they won't even need me round here ha!
If you could change on thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
If we're being honest here? My abilities. I'd get rid of them. I'd be normal. All my life, I've been an outcast because of my differences. Even my own parents kept me at a distance until we could cover up my appearance… I know I'm a hero and all, but really nothing big enough has happened that tge police couldn't take care of anyway. Who needs a superhero?
