forum I need help with these characters please

So I have these two characters. And on the surface they're pretty different. One is a girl who is a foreign exchange student from France, the other is an adopted Filipino boy. One has a twin brother, the other does a ton of sports. But they're both very sweet and pure and would do anything for their friends. The boy ends up befriending this really grumpy closed off girl and she opens up to him and the girl ends up dating the same girl and she ends up opening up to her too. I was doing the incorrect quotes thing and I realized I could put both of them in the same situation and they could say the same thing. The only discernible difference I could see between them in their personalities is how they interact with other people and that's only because they have different relationships with different people. I need help developing them a little bit so they have different core personalities. Please help!
The French girl: Anna Gerard
The Filipino boy: Oliver Mercado

Find some random questions that they'd answer differently to, like would the French girl eat a slightly moldy strawberry because the Filipino boy refused to? Is the Filipino boy obsessed with a moth from Venezuela because "yes, it's cute, but everybody swells over it, never thinking about its personality"? Would the French girl draw the line at vandalism, even if it's to save her life? Little tweaks like that add a little but mean a lot. Also, I love the idea!
