So in this part of my story, my main is thrown into basically a fighting pit for superhumans and he basically has to fight his way out. I really want 4 sorts of combative fun superpowers and 1 that's just stupid but is actually really powerful.
I already have the final boss sorted out. But these 5 are throwaways but I wanna make them memorable.
thx

There's always the basics of controlling some element: fire bolts, frost rays, etc. Another for fighting is super strength or minor invisibility/invincibility. There's also ripping off like the flash in moving fast. There's unlimited possibilities for stupid powers that could be useful: change the likelihood of a possibility (changing it to a 100% chance of winning the fight), mind control of rats but they're really sassy, make your actions completely silent( maybe the boss is blind and hearing is what they need), or even they can turn anything to jello by touch so they can move through walls easily.

@IDKWrites

try having abilities that would be powerful, but come with a drawback equivalent to the power, or a condition that the character has example: somebody can control other's movements, but if the victim submites to feeling powerless, then the effect wears off.
(or just base some stuff off of My Hero Academia quirks).

I mean, this is almost completely useless in a fight and completely ridiculous, but I'd like to be able to poof up kittens whenever I want. To not be sad. Kittens are great, sorry.

So I got my main heroes and villains all worked out. And I just finished these guys.
My story is about 6 teenagers part of a species born with powers (yes like mutants) These Neo-Humans have different tiers based on what they can do and what their limits are. How you can tell someone is a Neo-Human is if their DNA is made up of a Triple Helix. There are rare cases of animals possessing this.

There's Caleb who can make energy shields from his wrists. He can pretty much make any kind of shield.
His twin Joan who can create and control fire. Saying she's a living flamethrower is an understatement.
Charlotte who controls the weather with her emotions. She can lose control if she pushes her limits.
Evan who has complete control over his vocal cords and can mimic any sound. He also has a destructive sonic scream. pretty much a living soundboard.
Beau who hasn't told anyone what he can do but he can't control it at all and it's way too dangerous for him to use. His entire life has been him suppressing it.
Dwayne who can teleport but he has A.D.D. so he can't really focus on where he's going so at random he will just teleport away.
These guys make up The Rogues Gallery.

The villains are Splinter: She can control wood telekinetically which she usually shreds to fling giant wooden spikes at people.
Flashmob: He has a super speed dash. He leaves a trail of images of himself that can explode, stun (like a flashbang) or electrocute people.
Behemoth: Nobody knows if Behemoth is an animal with a Triple Helix or a Neo-Human. Mostly because it looks like a mix of both and doesn't speak but it works with Splinter and Flashmob nonetheless.
Freefall: He can change the center of gravity in rooms
The Anubis Agent: A demon from Ancient Egypt that serves Anubis and those who summon her. She has a flaming sword, she's immortal, can move through shadows.
Legion: a person who can take over other peoples minds to add them to their hive mind. Legion can be 100 people at once.
Legion, however, has to come into contact with that person. Legion vowes never to use their power on other Neo-Humans.

Yeah thats all the main ones but the fighters have these powers

1: Duplication- Splits into 10 versions of himself.
2: Turns into liquid- like I'm not kidding turns into a puddle
3: Tendrils- think like Doc Ock but organic
4: Ice powers-come on you know this
5: Acidic/ Highly flammable Vomit- (Called him Vomit Comit)
