I need help, I'm creative but not this creative. It can be anything from your childhood, imagination, it might take fandoms and what-no but your's might be the one to help or inspire!

Ah man you've awoken something from the deep part of my memory, many years ago in one of the first stories I made I had a race of half men half snake. They were about 6 feet tall and had the face and torso of humans and lower bodies of thick muscular snake tails. They built their homes on the branches of these goliath ancient trees and had spectacular villages. They were a very academic and communal race that lived for a few hundred years and took no greater joy than in sharing knowledge to aspiring young heroes on quests. I totally forgot about them until right now but feel free to use them or something like them, In my head they look really cool and I think they could made a cool edition to any fantasy type story.

Or yuan-ti, never really understood the difference between the two concerning appearance. I do think the culture described is very different from both though, much more peaceful instead of protecting the tomb or enslave humans.
Anyway- if you're writing a fantasy setting it might pay off to flip through a dnd monster manual and player guide, there are a lot of different half-human races and very humanoid looking creatures that you could easily reimagine for your own purposes. Otherwise, you might want to start thinking about what you want the character to be able to do. You want them to fly? Then their second half is probably something with wings, so not an orc or something. They should be able to see in the dark? There's a whole list of things for that as well.
Basically, I'm not sure what you're looking for so it's difficult to give you a concrete answer. But if you know at least one non-human trait they should have, and whether or not you're writing high fantasy or not, I would be happy to provide a very extensive list of possibilities.
