Hi, I'm Nate. Superhero genre fan
Let's see…
I'm working on a superhero story set in Zootopia (More specifically it's a fan-spinoff of a story which is itself a series of Zootopia fanfics… Started out with the 1st installment as a continuation that also introduced a team of vigilantes, then became more superhero-y with the 2nd and 3rd installments (Fanfic series is titled "Take a Stand" if you're curious btw))
It takes place during a big incident that leaves hundreds of ppl with superpowers, among those being two of my protagonists
First one is an orphan with an unfulfilled vendetta who after getting his power started looking for thugs to kill "beat up" and vent his perpetual frustration (Jayden Sefu Hunter)
Second is a cheerful, somewhat-memelord sheep gal who got the power of invisibility and can also shoot a long sticky tongue (Alyx Sheppard)
I just finished one of my character's things if you wanna read it? IDK I just had it copied to show someone lol
His name is Zayn :D he's from my fantasy story, CharmForce. It's about these kids that have to bring the King of their country, who was 'killed' by his wife. Accidentally. Who may also be Zayn's parents.
I'm bored too, I'm kinda stuck in the beginning of an action scene which are not my strong suit. I'm stuck in this loop where I think about abandoning this series because I started it when I was 16 and the second book ( which was originally the first book) is full of tropes and archetypes I hate now. But then I've spend so much time on it, I can't imagine writing anything else. I'm 21 now, and it feels like I should just move on but then sometimes I have the best time writing it, even though there's no way it's any good. Does anyone else have this sort of problem? I can't be the only one. I wonder if Tolkien ever felt like this.

Well, you don't have to move on to a whole different project if you stop with your current thing. Can't you like… try rewriting it, with tropes and archetypes etc. that you do like/are more comfortable with?
