I'm making
I know like two things about them.
1: they are the personification of Life.
2: they are non-binary
I don't know how to write an non-binary OC, and I want help with it…

@ginasusas group

Ok hi! Nonbinary person here, and while I don't know much about the story behind your OC here's something you should probably keep in mind:

Nonbinary characters are often nonhuman creatures, and while this isn't something you should completely avoid a lot of Nonbinary people (including myself) dislike Nonbinary characters in fiction (esp fantasy works) almost exclusively being aliens or monsterous creatures. However! If your story centers around nonhuman races and/pr there's other binary nonhuman characters, there's not much of an issue with it.

@Oakiin

Agender person here!

Just write them as a 'person' first, gender second. If them being nb is their only trait, you're doing it wrong. I am agender. That is not my exclusive identity, nor do I really think about it that much. I'm also a leo, and act like one, but how much do people really think about their zodiac signs day-to-day, even if they match? usually not much.

Now, I'm also making the assumption that they are physically nonbinary? Because if not, they may have dysphoria. But not necessarily. I have VERY low dysphoria, very occasionally. Nb people can, and often do, stay looking like their birth gender, or like the opposite gender, perfectly contently. Binders are loved by some, not used by others, and so on and so forth.

Main thing, is again, just write a person. The only affects that should really pop up in your story, (outside of any dysphoria, or other problems and such that can happen), are when things around them are gendered/require genders, and they don't match. Are they nb as in right between male and female? AHA! they get to do WHATEVER they WANT! They match both genders!
Or are they like me, and entirely without gender? Oh, boy, I guess I can't do anything, I don't match either!
(Of course, this is all for the sake of comedy and humor. It can be talked about in a more serious way as well, such as bathrooms, satire, any unnecessarily gendered processes, etc. But really? just don't make a super big deal about it, and don't treat it as if it's some weird, strange phenomena. It's just another way people see themselves, it's as simple as that.)

Hope this helps! if you have any questions, hmu!
