So I have a fanfiction (Marvel), and for some reason people like it. Anyway, I've started to create moodboards for my characters.
I've done two, and I thought maybe it would be cool if I could do one for your characters.
Here's two that I have done: Blythe and Dylan.
All I would need are 5 photos of them (this is definitely easier if you have a faceclaim for your character, or at least someone who they look a little bit like), one or two of their aesthetic colours (like how Blythe is aqua and blue and Dylan is grey/silver), a quote that is 2-3 sentences long and also something that could be used for a mood.
It's ok if you don't have photos for them: if you tell me their face claim I can find photos.
Also with the mood, it would be helpful to have stuff they like so that I could direct it in those directions (like photography, reading, etc).
Honestly, I'm not expecting people to do this, I'm just putting it out there.
I'd really appreciate if you did my character, Quincey! His page is here: Quincey Jay Martin, but his faceclaim isn't listed on it. I originally created him with Matty Healy from The 1975 in mind. (His hair is the curly style, if that helps!)
Aw this would be cool, I don't know if I could find five pics though, I'll try!
That's fine—I'd appreciate anything!
..? I- sorry I think you thought I was ^^^ I'm not the original creator.
Oops, you're totally right—sorry lol! This is why I need to actually read the words in front of my face…
K so I feel like I should maybe create a template of sorts to guarantee I get everything I need
Name: (just first and last)
Face Claim: (if you have to, just give me who their face claim is and I'll find photos)
Colour palette: (preferably just two colours, this will help me figure out the overall aesthetic of the moodboard)
A quote: (preferably from them)
Things that make them: (whether this be a really short quote, their whole thing, or just something simple. if you don't tell me anything about this, i'll just find things for the colours I've been given)
Please look at the examples I have provided (aka the ones I have done for two of my characters) for reference
(Mkay! I'll get something up)
Name: Quincey Martin
Face Claim: Matty Healy;
Colour palette: Whatever looks good to you, but I was thinking maybe a light green and darker gray palette, if that works.
A quote: "This is the part where I say 'This isn't going to hurt,' and you don't believe me, but in a few minutes you'll be thinking 'Wow, he's not a liar after all!'" OR, alternatively. "Well, you can't win them all—or any, apparently, if you're me."
Things that make them: Shadow Castor, half-siren, "Thelxiepeia", Chaotic Good
*Shadow castor just means that he's the healer in a hunter organization, aka pretty far up in the hierarchy.
*Thelxiepeia is the name of an original siren, so he uses the shortened version "Thel" as a codename in the hunters.
Ok, I'll see what I can do
Do you mind giving me something more for what makes them? Like stuff they like doing? I can only do so much with shadows, and I don't think the others will work well (at least with how I do the boards)
Sure! Uh, let's see… He's really good with music, his favorite instrument being acoustic guitar. Also, his father was a siren in a world where sirens take after the bird adaptation, rather than the mermaid one. So it might be cool to do something with feathers (ones that would match his hair) to represent that part of him! Quin also has a career as a youtuber, so he's usually checking his phone for updates. He's really interested in fashion (typically bright colors), and (kinda random) loves making omelettes.
Let me know if this helps at all?
Yeah, that is actually really helpful, thanks
He's done, I hope you like it.
It's so coool oh my gosh!!
Thank you so much, seriously.
I know it's not much, but if you want be to draw one of your characters or something in return, I'd be happy to do it!
I mean sure, but it depends on your art style
Also @RainyDayArtist I'm still happy to do yours if you're interested
I would, but I keep being busy, so how about I get to you later?
I mean sure, but it depends on your art style
I would send you some examples of stuff I've drawn, but I just had my phone taken away. Once I get it back, though, I can send you some examples?
It would help if you have a character with a faceclaim, since I like drawing realistic portraits. Also, I should warn you that I'm generally better at drawing guys. I can draw girls, but they don't always turn out quite as good.
(Btw, I only draw on physical paper since I can't afford a computer and my school-issued chromebook doesn't really cut it.)
(i do have a faceclaim for the character, but i would prefer to see your style first)
Fair enough. I should hopefully get my phone back tomorrow—at least for a little bit.
