Hello! I've been wondering how to write reincaration. I want death to still mean something in my story, but I can't think of a way to reincarnate a character without cheapening death in my story. My story focuses on magic, and I wanted a minor character to die before the story begins and come back as a villain. Any tips with this?
Ok, so if you could make that character that's being the reincarnation or that's coming back to life being control. that would be normal but cool but if you want meaning behind a death then you need to build it up. Make people be happy when they read the character than out of no way, just kill them off.
But it's your story and your choose
If you dont want deaths to feel cheap with a reincarnation system in place you need to make the character matters to the main cast and also the readers. reincarnation is a hard thing to pull off but I think as long as you make it seem that they wont be so minor and then just cut their story off half way and dont introduce them as the reincarnation immediately you should be fine.
