Hey, one of my villains, Terry is supposed to be another student who's infected with Hanahaki disease by Hanaki Disease, that just means a magic parasite that has flowers replace organs and cause the victim to infect others to get rid of the disease, it usually triggered by strong emotions He basically supposed to represent cancel culture and political correctness , yes I know that sounds cringy His prime motive is to do away with bullying and to avenge his sister Btw she's not dead, she just got bullied to the point of not wanting to be near the school which is a solid motivation, especially seeing the bullies in his area No joke, there's supposed to be a scene where the MC has used period pads stuffed in her desk for "flirting" with the popular guy But his mentions of achieving this is well, basically bullying by poisoning the victim to the point everyone is repulsed by said person and brands them as a bad person Yes I know this sounds really dumb Also the villian is supposed a bit ovely-sensitive or lack of a better word a bit of a counter-productive SJW especially to the less fortunate, and suppose his younger sister, Tori is supposed to represent making people accoutable without branding them as abhorrent pieces of poo when they slip up, but at the same time I don't want to make him the basic tumblr no shade to tumblr straw activist sterotype and making fun of his point to the point he can't be tooken seriously, How to find the balance of making him realistic yet extremist villian

@Blossom_Utonium

1) This boy's gotta believe with all his heart and soul that what he's doing is right. He sees no consequences. He is not the villain of his own story!
2) You've got to give him a leg to stand on. The logic he uses must make sense, and he must have valid reasons to back up his argument, otherwise no one will take him seriously.
3) Make him likeable. He sounds like someone with semi-good intentions. You can highlight this by his relationship with his sister/other allies.
4) Keep the extremist tendencies hidden as long as possible. Drop your readers a few hints. Build up to all of the ugly truth, cause if you dump it all on readers at once, they'll be repulsed by him.
5) In keeping with this, maybe have this poisoning strategy as a last resort. Maybe he tries more traditional methods of dealing with bullying before turning to poison. It will make it seem more realistic.

Hope this helps!
