So I’m creating a character that is a warrior, all from scratch, and I have no idea where to start. I’ve got Overview and Looks done, but I’m having trouble with the rest =-/ I hope this makes sense

do you have any ideas about the reasons this character is a warrior? Do you have any backstory yet or motivations? Idk if that helps

Her parents died from the enemy (who I haven’t figured out yet) and so she started from that day on training to become part of the “army”. That does help, actually, so thanks

what fighting style does she have? Hit and run? long distance? brute strength? Why?
What do they rely on most when fighting? smarts? strength? athletics? support from others? Why?
What is their weakness in battle? are they slow? do they have trouble expanding their focus on the rest of the battlefield?
Are they aware of this weakness/ flaw? if so, are they trying to improve it or cover it up?

people have different bodies, abilities and weaknesses and thus different fighting styles. keep in mind that no one is just naturally good at anything. Even someone talented will have to work hard to learn something to the extent of being an expert in it. Similarly, someone who's focused on close combat with a greatsword is more likely to quickly pick up fighting with another weapon with a similar technique than sharp shooting.
Figure out what it is their best at and work from there.
Of course, the most important thing might be her personality which may vary depending on who she's with. She could be cheery with someone she trusts while constantly glaring when talking to a superior.
Also, make sure you have her motivation and dreams clarified as well as her relations to other important people. It will help when she has to face a difficult task.
