I have a High Royal family that uses nicknames based on a colour and animal. Usually reflecting their personality or skills.
I have all the males in the family worked out except for the mother and daughter.

For Example High King Oliver "The Golden Griffin" Alden: For his efforts uniting his kingdom and leading it through wars
Peter "The Red Sparrow" Alden: For his natural talent as an archer
Ronald "The Black Sheep" Alden: For being a bastard with dark hair/ Later: Ron "The Black Wolf" Alden: For his
savagery and time as a black werewolf.

The last two are High Queen Eloise Alden and Susan Alden
Susan has similar traits to her mother, except she is at her core a confused, bratty girl who has been raised to torment her little half-brother. She grows up to be wise, tenacious and kind. (But that's not important now) Susan believes her physical appearance and status is what she should uphold. She decides to target these things when tormenting Ron. She shaves his dark hair frequently. Ron in retaliation scars her face with the same razor.

Now for personality Eloise at her core is cruel, she loves her family except Ronald. He is a living monument to her failure, as a wife, as a Queen and mother. (Obviously not her fault, her husband cheated on her, but the weight of the marriage is on both of them in the public eye. So they both fail) She is fierce, intelligent and wicked. She goes to great lengths to punish Ron after he lashes out against Susan. Eloise chooses to curse Ron, forcing him to wear a silver bracelet in the shape of a werewolf paw that permanently turns him into a werewolf until it is removed. She has not regretted her decision. She only wonders what went wrong in her marriage so that he was born.

Bean

how about White Bengal for susan, bengals are mean and snobby but very beautiful cats, and white was used to show how rich you are. For Eloise Purple raven, purple is a royal color and ravens are very smart birds
